Warfleck Is No Longer Safe

A few hours after Domnic and Zoriah left to stop the attack, James and Cletus training with their swords while Joy and Dorcas were just singing and braiding their hair, they began to hear some noise downstairs. At first, they thought that it was just kids making noise but the noise began to get worse and there were sounds of swords swishing and soon enough, they knew that the Snake nation had entered the academy. When James tried to open the door, Zoriah rushed in and told them to start moving because the Snake army were approaching. James asked about his father but Zoriah was mute and just told them to start moving. They got out of the building through a secret exit in zoriah's office. The girls were moved into the chariot first and as James and Cletus were about to climb into the chariot when an arrow hit Cletus on the leg and in an instant, five members of the snake army attacked them. Zoriah told the chariot rider to take the girls away and then the fight started. James stabbed a snake soldier in the eye and then started running while carrying Cletus on his back. A snake soldier who was very tall with an obviously sprained wrist attacked him and then James dodged his attacks, jumped on him and then grabbed his wrists and twisted it. The soldier screamed and then he brought out his dagger and stabbed the man on his throat with blood splashing on his dress. He then took Cletus to an abandoned building and then started treating his wounded leg. Cletus was in extreme pain and kept screaming while he applied ointment. James then looked outside and saw the snake soldiers setting the warfleck academy on fire. James stared at the scene in resentment and he didn't notice when a man came in. "Hello there." The man said in a croaked voice. As he turned around, he saw a man tattooed from head to toe and holding a knife wrapped with a black cloth and before he could attack, the man had held him by the throat and started some incantations while he struggled to get free from his grip and soon he fell into a deep sleep.
