THE AGREEMENT

James and the rest of the men left the bar very happy and jolly. Many of the men were drunk and some couldn't walk two steps without falling to the ground. James was different and was a bit light-headed but could understand his surroundings. They all sang chants of victory as they all left for their homes and soon, the street was empty.

James got to his house and knocked and immediately, joy opened the door and smiled at him.

"What were you doing outside for so long, we have missed you." She said as she helped him to take off his coat and brought him food. He then started eating as silence filled the room.

"I love you so much; hope you know that?" He said as he indicated that she should sit on his lap and she sat there.

"I love you too; you are everything I need and more." She said. "You are my life but please stop making me worry all the time." She said as she rest her head on his chest.

"You don't have to worry about me, nothing will happen to me." He said as he laughed and kissed her.

She took his plates and went to the kitchen and he followed her there.

"What are you doing here?" She said with an amused voice as she saw him behind her.

"Why don't we wash these together eh." He said with a smirk on his face as he inhaled the scent of her hair and smiled.

"She is so beautiful." He thought to himself as he stood beside her and kept smiling like a little kid who had gotten a new gift.

"What will make you want to do that and why do you have that smile on your face?" She said as she started washing the dishes. He then joined her in washing the dishes and was still smiling. She thought he was just there to keep her company but he was really helping.

"Well it seems like you are serious about this." She said as he stopped her from washing the plates.

" Let me wash all the dishes, I don't want you to be stressed tonight." He said as he resumed washing the dishes.

" Whatever you say o great James!" She said as she watched him. Soon, he was done, he turned towards her and grabbed her by the waist.

"What is it Joy, don't you know how much I missed intimacy with you?" He said with a low voice into her ear.

" So all of these help was for a reason after all; I knew it." She said as she feigned anger.

" I helped you my love, I didn't let you work so that we can enjoy this night together and make it one of the best before I leave for camp. He said as he strikes her hair. "Is that too much to ask." He said with a flirty tone.

" Oh James!" She exclaimed as he lifted her up and they started kissing passionately and soon went into their room to make love.

The next morning, James woke up and saw her still sleeping beside him looking so bare and fragile and he kissed her on the forehead as he went to freshen up for the day. Soon, Dominic woke up and ran to greet him as he tickled him and he washed him up and he left to play with the other children.

"Be careful while playing, don't get hurt." Joy said as he ran away with the other kids.

" He will be fine woman don't worry." He said as he held her by the shoulder and watched him play.

While they watched him, joy indicated to him that she could see an horseman approaching them. Soon the horseman came into view and it was Varlom and he looked really happy as he dismounted from his horse while holding a letter.

"The Dichanians have agreed to collaborate with us in taking out the Snake army and the leaders want to meet with us." He said as he handed the letter to him smiling. James then read the letter, gave a huge smile and hugged him.

"This is the beginning of our victory over Benard and ending his reign." He said as he smiled at Joy and she came to join the hug.

" I forgot to tell you, Cletus has started planning his marriage with Ashra and he sent me to inform you to get ready in the next 90 days."

" Two good news on the same day? The gods are definitely on our side." He said as he laughed. " And tell the Dichanian leaders that we will meet with them in 7 days to discuss." He invited Varlom into the house and they both took some wine before he left. James then went to joy and sat beside her in front of the house.

" This are good news my love, I always said that there was hope and we are beginning to see it and very soon, we will succeed."

" Yes we will." She said as they watched Dominic play with the other children.

In a dark dungeon with many men screaming and begging to be free, some men there seemed to have lost their minds and some have accepted their fate in that dreadful place with noise being made but all of a sudden, the noise ceased as Benard and Cain came into the dungeon and the guards bowed their heads as they passed. They went immediately to the prison chief guard and he stood before them saluting.

"What is it that brings you to these parts sire?" He said as he bowed his head.

" I came to get someone I need." He then looked at the place with disgust. "This place smells terrible, take me to Wobo." He said.

" Sire that is a dangerous...."

" I don't care and I don't have time so get me to him immediately." He said as he grabbed the prison chief guard violently and gave him a threatening stare. They were immediately taken to Wobo's cell which he only stayed in because he killed the other prisoners that came there and ate them.

"Open the door to his cell, I want to speak with him alone." The chief guard hesitated at first but he finally opened the door and Benard got in while Cain tried to follow him.

"Don't follow me here Cain, I don't need you now." He said as he entered the cell and the door was shut. He looked around and the cell was big and dark and he looked to the corner and saw a huge figure bent over while playing with something he could not see.

"Good day Wobo, I am here to see you." He said with a fake smile. Immediately, Wobo stood up and moved towards him with the speed of a falcon and towered over him.

"Who on Earth are you?" He asked impatiently as he scowled.

" I'm someone that you need to enjoy what you love doing." He said as he looked at him eye to eye. Wobo immediately grabbed him by the collar, head-butted him on the nose and blood began to flow as he brought out a towel to clean it.

"I guess I enjoyed doing that." He said with an evil look on his face. In Benard's head, this man was definitely crazy but that was a good thing.

But you won't get the pleasure of killing me Wobo." He said with arrogance in his tone as he was still wiping his nose and soon, the blood stopped flowing.

"What makes you think so?" He said as he looked at him menacingly.

"You are talking to Benard of the Snake army and I want to offer you the opportunity to shed blood and have your fun with the human body."

" I have heard of you, your conquests and so on. You are a crazy man with powers. How can I be able to help someone like you." He said and Benard smiled.

I want you to be an henchman of mine and fufil your pleasures of killing people. You will also get out of this cell." He said to him.

" So I will get to kill without getting arrested by anyone?" He asked as he gave a demonic smile.

" Yes you will Wobo, you will but you have to make a pact first." He then brought out a knife with a golden snake engraved on it and cut his palm with it and indicated that Wobo should bring his hand and he cut his palm too. After that, they shook hands and made some vows and they came out of the cell together.

"My Lord are you okay? Cain said as he went towards him.

"You worry too much; my status as Benard will bring every rogue under my control." He said as Wobo emerged and despite the fact that Cain was about 7 foot tall, he was dwarfed by this man and Wobo looked at Cain like he was prey and smiled. He then turned and looked at the chief guard, walked towards him and spat on him. The chief guard was about to shout for backup but Benard told him to shut up and soon they all left the dungeon and Wobo the maniac was free.
