Reunion and news

James, Cletus and Varlom were given a bag of silver before they left the palace and they followed the king's instructions and really they didn't miss the house.

James then went to knock at the door and it was opened by none other than Joy who screamed at the top of her voice and hugged him and they were ushered in. James asked if his uncle was around but she said that he went to make a deal with some customers. They then asked her about the other women from Bawsi. She told them that the King gave them a piece of land to live in.

She was still talking when she saw Cletus's eye and asked about what happened. James then told her everything that happened after they fought the war and how it played out. Joy then burst into tears and told James that she recieved a letter from Marcus saying that his father was killed by snake soldiers. She then told him that he sent his sword but the sword was in his uncle's room which was locked. James immediately fell on his knees and started crying. Cletus and Joy tried to comfort him and after a while he stopped crying and swore to end the snake nation menance.

James after he had calmed down told her about meeting her father. She then got angry and said that she didn't want to hear it but he then explained everything to her and after that, she was calm but said that the only way she could believe was if she heard from him herself.

By evening, his uncle got back and after they exchanged pleasantries, they got inside.

"James I have news for you." He said in a low voice as he led James into his room.

"Your father is dead and he left you this sword." He said as he brought out the sword his father used in battle and handed it to him.

"Why Be a soldier when you can be a business man and make wealth son. You don't have to die when you can be a merchant." Your father's death was so painful for me and I cant let his son die." He said as he looked James in the eye.

"I understand how you feel uncle Francis but I can't stop being who I am just because of the fear of death and those snake soldiers and Benard will pay."

" Sometimes we don't fight some battles because if you fight them you will die for no reason." He said.

" This fight is not one I will let go of uncle. I will keep fighting and I know that one day, I will overcome. He said as he drew the sword from it's gold sheath.

"I know you might not change your mind but I hope you think about what I said." He said as he dismissed James.

Soon enough, the other soldiers from Chanchan came to fadian and they were all reunited but Marcus was killed by a severe fever while traveling.

After 4 years, James then formed a special group named the Black Knights which was approved by the King dedicated to ending the reign of the snake soldiers. Soon James and the other members started recruiting new members into the group
