Chapter 5

She got back to her office and sorted out the files on her desk, when she was done she looked up to see the dark night through her ceiling to floor window, she looked at her watch and saw the time.

"Xie Yurin and Mo Ting should be at the restaurant by now", she thought and packed her things, they were all meant to meet by 8pm and it was 7:15pm, it was broadcasted on the news that the bridge at the main road broke so she would have to take the long road and it would take her at least forty five minutes to reach the restaurant at her fastest speed.

She picked up her blazers and bag and left the office, she took the elevator down to the underground parking lot and got into her car.

On her way she called up Mo Ting and he told her they were already waiting for her, after the call was hung up she increased her speed and drove towards the restaurant.

She was driving on the road twenty minutes later when she finally paid attention to the truck that had been following her for the past ten minutes. The truck was obviously following her since there were no other cars on the road except the two of them for the past fifteen minutes. All of a sudden the truck increased its speed and ran straight for the rear of her car, it was obvious the truck driver had no care for his life with the speed he was running.

She tried to avert the car but it was to no avail, her car brakes had failed.

"Is this end, am I going to die here like this, how did this happen", Before Chen Lihua could register what was happening.

"Crasshhh", the truck collided into her car, the last thing she saw before losing consciousness

were the two faces standing outside her car and the expression on their faces.

"Breaking news: A car and truck collision happened on the Dang road tonight at 7:40 pm tonight. The car has been identified to belong to the President of Paradise Entertainment Chen Lihua and as of now she is in critical condition at the Zhang Shen City Hospital ", the news reported later that night.

"Where is the blood bag",

"Where is the injection Nurse", "Attach another blood bag", "Her blood pressure is dropping", "We are about to lose her", doctors and nurses of Zhang Shen City Hospital were running helter skelter that night trying their very best to save Chen Lihua.

"She must be dead now right", a young handsome man in a suit sitting in an high end bar holding a glass of liquor said to the woman beside him

"Of course she must be no one can survive such a fatal collision.Chen Lihua must be on her way to meet her parents by now", the woman replied and they both laughed.

"Let's party all night then baby. Its our victory day" the man said and kissed the woman passionately, she moved to sit on his lap and not long after sounds of moaning could be heard in the room.

Two days later

"President Chen survived but we still have no idea when she will wake up", Lifei said to Mian

"But we still have to inform Director Mo and Miss Xie, they are her closest family that we know", Mian said

"U hmm, let's go, they are both here", Lifei said and they both entered Xie Yurin's house. Before they could open the door they heard voices speaking in hushed tone and what they heard made them stop in their tracks.

"Mian and Qin Lifei said they are coming, I hope they are bringing the news that Chen Lihua is dead. I don't even know how she survived she was meant to die on the spot even the truck driver died", Mo Ting said to Xie Yurin peeved by the whole situation

"I believe that's the news and if it's not we will make it the news we have tried killing her before we will do it again, until Chen Lihua dies we won't be able to take over Paradise Entertainment", Xie Yurin said and they both nodded.

Mian and Lifei looked at each other in shock and for a while they couldn't believe what they heard

"President Chen's accident was planned murder and her two best friends are the ones behind it", the two of them looked at each other and in tactit understanding they both nodded their heads and pushed open the door. Mo Ting and Xie Yurin flinched in fear before calming down

"Mian, Qin Lifei come on in. What is it that you called us both for we were about to come to the hospital. How is Lihua" Xie Yurin asked and in unison Lifei and Mian burst into tears.

"President Chen is no more, Miss Xie. The doctors tried their very best but they couldn't save her, the accident was too fatal", Mian said in between tears and she and Lifei looked at each other not missing the small smile on Mo Ting and Xie Yurin's faces.

"What, Lihua is dead", Xie Yurin said and slumped on the sofa crying.

"She is no more. No oo", Mo Ting shouted and burst into tears.

"Wow, he is a good actor", Mian thought and they both watched Mo Ting and Xie Yurin cry buckets and they would have believed they really meant it if they didn't hear their conversation "So evil".

"Crying won't bring back the dead, Director Mo. We have to make the necessary arrangements for her funeral and announce it to the world as well", Lifei said and cried harder.

"What about Paradise entertainment", Mian asked

"Its like Chen Lihua knew this awful accident would take place since she transferred Paradise entertainment and Chen Mansion to us just two days before the accident", Xie Yurin said and Mian and Lifei shouted

"Whaaaattt",

"Yes Mian, Lihua transferred Paradise Entertainment to us", Mo Ting said still crying. Mian and Lifei looked at each other and it dawned on them

"If they both could plan to kill her it means her properties were already in their names. This two are so vile we have to keep President Chen safe at all cost",

"Alright then Director Mo, the two of you should handle the funeral arrangements we will get the body released from the hospital", Lifei said and Mo Ting and Xie Yurin just cried harder.

"We should bury her in a week's time", Lifei said and Mo Ting yelled

"No"

Mian and Lifei looked at each other wondering why he yelled

"A week is too long we should lay her to rest as soon as possible. My Lihua", he said crying harder

"But Director Mo...", Mian was saying and Lifei pinched her to cut her short

"Alright Director Mo, I think you are right. Please make the necessary arrangement"

"We all have to be strong otherwise how will protect what she left behind, we can't let her enemies get Paradise Entertainment just because she is no more", Mian said and Mo Ting and Xie Yurin cried for a while longer before keeping quiet.

"We will leave now we have to get the body released", Mian said and left with Lifei. After they left Mo Ting and Xie Yurin called all media channels and released the news of Chen Lihua's death.

The whole of China was abuzz with the news of Chen Lihua's death, the President of Paradise Entertainment and the most powerful woman in China had passed away just like that. Three days later Chen Lihua was buried beside both her parents, media, shareholders of Paradise Entertainment, all artists under Paradise Entertainment and from other agencies, investors and partners. The funeral ground was filled with different influential people from all walks of life and Mian and Lifei were at the forefront.

A week after the funeral Mo Ting and Xie Yurin got their marriage certificate and took over Paradise Entertainment, many of the company shareholders, investors and artists were against the take over of Mo Ting and Xie Yurin since they believed they both didn't have the capabilities to handle a large agency like Paradise Entertainment but the papers Chen Lihua signed prevented them from doing anything. The whole Mo family moved into the Chen Mansion arising suspicions from people regarding Chen Lihua's death.

Paradise Entertainment and Chen Mansion were the only properties Mo Ting and Xie Yurin could get Chen Lihua to transfer to their names since they couldn't find her other property papers. Lifei and Mian became Head of Directors at Paradise Entertainment and they ran the company together with Xie Yurin and Mo Ting and within a few weeks everything was back in order.
