Back to the frontlines

Dai was eventually released from custody, Shirohi had returned to the Senju Manor to continue his training. Habara and Murakai were already waiting for him in the courtyard, sadly Kuzumi had fallen on the Iwa Frontlines forcing Murakai to fill his position in training Shirohi.

In the center of the courtyard we're two large dark blocks of metal sitting ontop of each other, curious Shirohi asked "What's this?" Habara smiled, "Your new training," confused Shirohi approached the metal blocks feeling them as he questioned "What do you mean?"

Murakai gestured towards the blocks, "Separate them, of course only use chakra," Shirohi nodded as he began to concentrate, but it was broken as he was forced to dodge, Habara pointed her sword at him "Who said it was gonna be that easy huh? You'll have to fight me while you do it duh…" finishing her words as she kicked off the ground she near-instantly appeared in front of Shirohi, he was forced to jump into the air, she crouched down the muscles in her legs expanding as she leaped into the air like a shooting star thrusting out her blade with a wicked smile.

Cursing internally a seal lit up on the sole of Shirohi's shoes, a small explosion quickly followed, throwing him away from the sword's path. As he slid to a stop he eyed Habara, he either had to defeat her and focus on separating the plates or do it while defending… kicking off the ground he tossed a few stacks of 'Light Seals', the heat radiating off of them burning as he smacked into the plates, even while closing his eyes tight he was blinded, using the few moments the seals brought him he began to focus his chakra driving a wedge between the two plates.

A force stronger than gravity fighting against him, the Chakra 'wedge' begins to crack under the weight. White sparks burst across his skin as he added Nature Transformation, the Raiton Chakra prying in between the plates, he could feel Habara close by gritting his teeth; he supplied more chakra, smoothing out the flow as much as possible. The point wasn't to brute force it, that wouldn't help him increase his control… he needed to smooth the rough edges as it grew to achieve a Laminar flow…

Expecting Shirohi to dodge or even attempt to block Hanara brought her sword down with force, she wanted to get revenge for nearly burning her eyes out of their sockets. With a beautiful(wicked) smile her sword dug into his shoulder, her smile cramping as blood splattered on her face. The current from his body channeled through the sword and spread across her body putting her in a state of paralysis.

Fighting through the constant shock running through her body she screamed, "Your fucking CRAZY!" Murakai watched as the top plate slid from the bottom separating the two… he watched Shirohi with an interesting gaze, what was going through his mind was impossible to gleam from his expression…

In the Senju Training Grounds, Yumi barely was able to stand on her feet across from Kushina. Tsunade was off to the side watching over the spar, she felt happy at Yumi's growth. Not only was she able to achieve the level of chakra control to use 'Chakra Enhanced Strength' but she also was able to overcome Shizune in Iryojutsu. While she may be better at handling the 'Mythical Palm Jutsu' Shizune if far more knowledgeable about the body, medicine, poisons, and their antidotes…

All of this had been done without Shirohi knowing, they weren't actively hiding it from him they simply haven't told him, he already knew about her Iryojutsu training.

"Again…" Kushina eyed the little lioness in front of her, Yumi had gone lengths in an attempt to beat her in a spar, "You sure? You have a broken arm and you can only see out of one eye," Yumi dashed forward with a growl, she seemed possessed as she swung her broken arm "Again!" Ducking under the limp arm Kushina sent a sharp jab to Yumi's ribs.

Recoiling in pain, Yumi brought her elbow down on Kushina's head only for it to brush past her cheek as Kushina tilted her head twisting her arm Yumi grabbed a handful of hair as she twisted her hips to knee Kushina's head.

Kushina blocked the knee with one hand and with the other violently twisted Yumi's wrist, a sickening crack followed. Kicking Yumi away, Kushina sternly said "That's all for today, have Tsuande patch you up before you go off to find Shirohi…"

Yumi laid on the ground taking heavy breaths, "Hai, sensei…"

Ginkamen leaned against the wall in Hizuren's office, if you didn't know him well enough you could assume he was asleep. Soon the door opened and a team walked in, not looking behind them they only saw the Hokage, "Team Bravo, you will be dispatched to the Mizu frontline, There will be a mercenary accompanying you during this mission, he has already been given the mission details and will be the acting leader of your team until further notice."

The man in front seemed displeased, but didn't voice his concerns, "Ginkamen, if you would start the briefing…" with a hidden smirk Ginkamen stepped forward, his presence becoming known the moment he left the wall,giving an exaggerated bow he spoke, his voice slightly distorted "Very well… while Mizukagure hasn't officially joined the war they have been mobilizing their troops to their borders, we will be doing the same in preparation for war. Since we will be the first ones to arrive we will be establishing a base of operations with the other teams that will be joining us to form a squadron… Once we establish a base of operations as well as a Supply Route your mission will change but I'm not vetted enough to know that information," finishing his words with a shrug he tossed the mission scroll over.

Ginkamen had made a name for himself in Konoha, while none of the Shinobi trusted him despite his new job title 'Mission Advisor' given to him by the Hokage, he could handle an Hi-Jounin in a head on fight but it would force him to reveal all his cards. His standard for Elite Jounin was based on the strength of Habara and Murakai, both of whom he couldn't defeat in a one vs. one. Luckily or sadly they are outliers in the Elite Jounin rank, both were hand picked by Kinuoni for Anbu Captains, something he had learned over the years.

He received his job title on his 50th mission, Hizuren had been lining his pockets a lot recently with the increased intake of missions. He also gained merits which he could use to receive 'Jutsu Scrolls' from the village, he realized he was practically a Shinobi for Konoha but he had nothing to tie his loyalty. If Tsunade one day left Konoha he would follow, and the Hokage knew it well… Hizuren had been trying his hardest to make sure Tsunade was comfortable in the village, Shirohi is an asset he'd rather not lose. Hizuren had been focusing a lot of resources on Shirohi compared to other Shinobi, in hopes of one day instilling the will of fire into his bloodline… whether it be him or his children he will tie their bloodline to Konoha.

As Shirohi lead the group out the room Hizuren turned his eyes to the report he just received, listing all know Tensuki's, their bloodline traits, their nationality… everything…
