The rise of a Queen
" You don't believe me? Well and good. Let's end our ties here.", Xu Xi Feng said to her family who distrusted her when she was a victim. "Why don't we get married?",She asked after a deep thought when she get the trust and support from an outsider. " Remember, I only enter a relationship that last for. a life time", He said and they married in a traditional way. " My business had gone bankrupt", he proclaimed. She took out her savings and they started from scratch. When the government announced that she was dead in a well staged accident, he believed that there is something wrong with her sudden disappearance. For six months he kept on searching for her,until a day,his assistant brings in a news about the new queen who is gonna ascend the throne of Nan Jiang under the name Xiu Xi Feng. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She, Xu Xi Feng, was a girl from a family with a normal background. She was not valued for who she was just because she was born a woman. She ignored everything else because What she values in a relationship was Companionship, co dependence and trustworthy. When her own family didn't give her these three, she got them from a stranger who came into her life when she was at the lowest and nature takes its course. Throughout the journey for the rest of her life, she experienced everything from betrayal to unconditional love. Another failed attempt
After a few minutes, she heard some rustling sounds in the living room.
When she came out and took a glance, it was her father who was making the noise. He was looking for something.
" When have things kept orderly? See this piece of junk is here for three days. No one cares and cleans it.", began his regular routine of pushing the blame on others. Xu Xi Feng listened to his nag silently.
" Where is my pendrive?", he finally shouted what he was looking for.
A silver pendrive directly caught Xi Feng's eyes and she took it and handed it over to him.
And that marks the trouble for her.
" By the way,I heard that they have released the merit list for the candidates who are eligible for the next round of the public service. Have you checked it?", Xu Shi Hao asked.
" I will check in a while.", Xi Feng answered as she knew that she won't pass the primary exam given her performance.
" Later... Later... Later... Check it now.", Shi Hao ordered her.
With no other choice, she sat down to check. As She calculated, her name was not in the merit list for the primary selection.
" I knew it. I knew it. Someone who doesn't cares for her future like you will never achieve anything in her life. All you know is eating and sleeping. How will you be able to achieve something when you are simply sitting and playing with your phone. You better give up on this and start to take the teaching job I recommended you. You are only suitable for that. What a waste of time.
At your age, I was a teacher in Shin Wang High school. I worked hard and here I am being successful. And look at you. You are not ready to work hard yet you have the guts to dream big. I too dreamt about being a national player. But when the circumstances didn't seem good and once I realised I can't achieve, I gave up and accepted the reality. Listen to me and threw away the impractical dreams away and accept the reality. You are not cut in for a public administration service." He keep on going. Xi Feng doesn't know how to react to his words.
After all if she react to it verbally it will only lead to the third world war. She can't refute his words saying she didn't work hard or she is just a dreamer and not a doer. And he gave up because he thought he was not cut fine for his dreams.
Atleast she is trying her best despite the fact that they never gave her the ample time to focus on her preparation. She was constantly dragged to do house chores or have to help him with his works.
She sometimes thought of leaving the house and lead her own life in her own way. But the practical thinker in her made her stop doing something that is impulsive as she didn't have the money to take care of herself and to meet the basic needs. That is why she constantly look for part-time jobs that she can do from home like being a editor, writing novels and designing works to earn money for her long term dream of breaking the chains her father tied around her wings.
While these thoughts were running a shocking statement fell in her ears saying that she should make a choice between getting married in near future or taking the teaching job.
She has bent down to all his wishes and arrangement so far in her 23 years of life starting from her character to her college life. The two think she was determined to take her own decision was her marriage and her career as they will decide the rest of her life. Looks like she was once again going to get compromised over these two against her will.
