Chapter 03: Strength category and Tortus.

Levana snapped her fingers and I was instantly enveloped by a white light that lasted a few seconds before fading.

I looked down. I found my body being embraced by some rather elegant clothes.

I had on a white shirt with black pants that hid the hem underneath. On top, I had a black robe that came down to my knees, and lastly, I had a pair of black boots. It was a fairly comfortable set of clothes.

I also had a bright red pendant that was hidden under my clothes, when I asked the Goddess, she said.

"Do you want all the women in the world to swoon at the sight of you?".

Well, I guess it was possible with my current appearance.

The pendant was an artifact that lowered my charms to a great extent.

Although... when I looked into the mirror that the Goddess had created out of thin air, my charms didn't go down much, they went down. To be honest, the pendant didn't help much, but at least the girls shouldn't swoon anymore, right...?

For the next few hours, I sat next to Levana as we chatted, she told me several important things.

She explained to me about my energy, it was called energy of the nothingness., it is an energy that until now, only she possessed and, here I am, possessing something that only the strongest had. Also, she mentioned and complained about how bored she was in this place.

It was quite comforting to talk to her, something I never felt around others before.

Among the little Goddess' explanations, what helped me most to open my horizons were the Multiversal power categories.

Namely: a Verse was divided into four different stages, which are: Lower Verse, Middle Verse, Upper Verse, and Supreme Verse; in each of the above categories of 'Verses', there were worlds that were also categorized similarly: lower world, middle world, and the upper world. The limit of power that existence could acquire depended very much on their Verse and the world they were in.

To simplify things, the category of Multiversal power was measured by numerical statistics:

* Inferior Verse.

- Normal World: Maximum statistic = 5.

- Lower World: Maximum statistic = 100.

- Middle World: Maximum statistic = 500.

- Upper World: Maximum statistic = 1000.

* Middle Verse.

- Lower World: Maximum statistics = 5,000.

- Middle World: Maximum statistic = 10,000.

- Upper World: Maximum statistic = 100,000.

* Upper Verse.

- Lower World: Maximum statistic = 1,000,000.

- Middle World: Maximum statistic = 10,000,000.

- Upper World: Maximum statistic = 100,000,000.

* Supreme Verse.

- Lower World: Maximum statistic = 1,000,000,000,000.

- Middle World: Maximum statistic = 10,000,000,000,000.

- Upper World: Maximum statistic = 99,999,999,999,999. - No one has reached even half of this power yet.

* Multiversal: Maximum statistic = infinity. The only being in this range is the Goddess in front of me.

When Levana concluded her explanation, my head was literally about to explode from the immense amount of information she had dumped on my mind.

To be honest, I now feel like a tiny ant in this immense existence. Although in my previous life I have reached the 19,000th statistic because of Levana's explanation, I still felt weak.

But on second thought, this is a rare opportunity where I can travel through as many Verses as I want, acquiring skills and laws while having fun along the way without anyone or anything stopping me. That way, it won't take long to reach and surpass my previous stats.

"Have you decided which world you'll land on?" asked Levana, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Mmmm, the first time it will be a random world...", I mentioned while opening the <Multiverse Walker> option.

In front of me, a vertical red panel appeared with a listing of verse names with their respective worlds.

With a command in my head, the list of worlds and verses on the panel was replaced in rapid succession like a roulette wheel.

After a few seconds of 'spinning', the list stopped and the marker stopped on a specific world.

[Tortus].

"What came out?" excitedly, the Goddess approached me. Oh, right, she couldn't see the system because she had put in the system a hide option, where no one will be able to see or observe my future or my past, I am quite grateful to her for this 'little detail', as she said.

"It's a world called Tortus...", I said and looked at her face which had a thoughtful expression.

"Umu, that world originally was a lower world of a middle verse, but because an existence of a middle world of that same verse had descended to Tortus, it had been upgraded to a middle world."

That means that the maximum power one possesses in that world is 10,000, and the maximum one can possess in that verse with a higher world is 100,000 statistics.

'Shit, right now I only have the strength of 100 stats.'

With the new creation of my body, my strength had disappeared along with my human body.

'Well, as long as I'm careful, there's nothing to worry about.

'So, see you later, little Goddess.' I patted the Goddess' head with a few pats and walked away from her.

"Hehehe, I'll bring you back here from time to time so I won't get too bored. Besides, I'll be watching your adventures from here," with a sweet smile, she put her hands on her head as if she still wanted to feel the patting sensation.

"Oh, of course...". I shrugged, not finding a reason to turn her down. Being and talking to her was pleasant enough. I had also invited her if she wanted to come with me to which she had declined.

Turning my attention to the screen in front of me, the dark letter was surrounded by a crimson color before two options appeared on a different floating panel.

'This I hadn't expected.' I thought as I contemplated which one I'm going to choose.

'Fine, I'll go with the summoning.'

It might be idiotic of me to wander into a place where I didn't know if the summoners had good or bad intentions, maybe they'll turn out to be some slavers. But I have my methods of escape if that's the case. Although one thing is for sure, it is quite likely that I will get some information about the world from the people or beings who are opening a summoning portal.

On the other hand, if I choose a random place... it would be even more dangerous. Who knows, I might be stranded in a place where powerful and mindless beasts roamed.

When the options disappeared, a spatial rift appeared right next to me. I almost hit it out of instinct.

I said my last goodbye to the Goddess and entered the gap. As I passed through it, the rift closed and I appeared in a space cave, its shape resembling the inside of a giant worm.

Small black particles with purple edges danced around me as space began to mobilize.

Finding these particles interesting, I inspected them with my senses.

"Oh, Law of Space and Laws of Time," I muttered. Levana had told me that I could use any Law and Elements when I trained them, this was due to my race having complete compatibility with them.

Not letting this unique opportunity slip away, I sat in space in the lotus position and began to meditate. As if the particles had consciousness, they acted like happy little children and entered naturally through my pores.

When I closed my eyes, I asked to feel the two laws harmonizing with each other.

It didn't take long for my thoughts to become disordered: at some moments my thoughts ran at great speed, at other times it was so slow that it was depressing, I could even feel the space around me tearing and moving slower, while at other times, it moved faster.

Slowly I opened my heavy eyelids to let the same space tunnel reveal itself before my eyes. I didn't know how many hours, days, weeks, or months had passed since I began to absorb the two laws.

I stood up and felt my body was quite stiff, so I would say it had been a few days sitting in the same position.

Right now I had two key Laws of the multiverse, if I master them completely, I can even turn back or forward time, but that's something I don't want to do, I'm quite satisfied with my new life and opportunity. Even if I went through years of torture, they have served as a valuable lesson for this new life.

And with the Law of Space... although for now, I could only move as far as my senses covered, that didn't mean I would continue in the same way, for when my understanding is deeper, I will be able to teleport wherever I wanted.

The space cave curved and then headed towards where the mana field was.

A few seconds passed and I was already in a completely different place, even the laws around me disappeared.

When I appeared, I saw that I was in a field of light surrounded by magical runes I didn't know. It made sense since I did not belong to this place.

In this space were about thirty people, both women, and men, who all looked young. They were with their eyes closed floating as if they had a life preserver on the surface of the water. I was also floating against my will, but at least I could move.

I watched them for a while and approached the person closest to me: a girl who had black hair tied in a ponytail.

I touched the forehead of her head with my finger and concentrated my energy to send it into her mind, without harming her.

What I was doing at this moment was quite simple: sending my energy to observe her memories. Although it seemed cruel of me, it was still necessary to know her background, at least I won't get involved in her secrets.

I smiled wryly at the sudden notification from the system.

'Does this mean that the invokers are human traffickers?' I thought with a furrowed brow.

I moved away from her and the more we moved, then I felt that they were slowly receiving mana that strengthened their physical bodies and minds.

I looked around the surrounding area. At this point, no one was receiving blessings from the world Law anymore. I guessed that we would be arriving at our destination very soon.
