Revered Magus chapter 20 – Enlightened

About 15 thousand years later from the subjugation of the humans, I realized the humans have taken in and hidden human settlements.

This led to a civil war between Dragons and Elves whilst time learning the reason the humans got into magic and even started eyeing our techniques and treasures is due to the Elves.

Whilst the Dragons and Elves were fighting each other, and slowly weakening due to fighting for over 60 thousand years and their low fertility rate.

However, I had a couple of children of my own, however, my partner was a black dragon, it was a white dragon of the imperial Dragons. The leaders of the Dragons.

When my children reached 20 years old, I flew away with them at extreme speed and landed at an unknown mountain. I then let them fly away and told them "Stay here and live peacefully, have plenty of children so when I come back, we are a full family once again" I laughed heartily disguising my melancholic mood.

I set up an inheritance for my descendant to receive and use to grow strong and become one of the strongest in the world to not be oppressed by anybody.

Once I used a rare material for the door and carved a blood-detection rune and a rune to seal it, I left back to Altheim.

The humans and demons that were apparently hidden and growing their strength for 60 thousand years annihilated all the dragons until all was but me, there were a lot of elves left, however, they ran away and dispersed into human settlements.

'cowards' I grimaced

There was the entirety of the human race and demon race surrounding me now. As they were within the proximity of my expectation, I self-exploded making sure I take all the humans and demons with me. And a split spirit I created beforehand took a memory fragment and whizzed all the way to the mountain I visited before, to set up the inheritance.

"Huuuuuu" as Rio took a big breath in and roared, 'The anger of the dragon seemed to have seeped within my heart, and I was just watching I closed my eyes and thought after how ridiculous I must've sounded.'

"Ho, it seems you have finished taking all of it in, how do you feel, enlightened, strengthened?"

The remnant asked with curiosity.

Rio opened his eyes and a sparkle was now seen in the purple-filled iris.

"Yes, I've been enlightened, I've gained knowledge in 5 years, any other humans wouldn't have learned for about a trillion years. and demons, huh? I haven't heard about them in any book I've read, it seems they must be very good at hiding, as I doubt there is no demon left in this world."

"Hahaha, I knew my memory would be useful, with the disappearance of the powerful humans, humans would be reduced back a step when it came to magic."

"Is there anything else, that you left for me?" Rio asked, what he gets is already more than enough, however, he just had to make sure.

"Haha, I guess regardless of you being my descendant, human blood still runs through your body. This is all I left for my descendant, kid. Now that I've done my job, it's time for me to disappear, make sure to stand at the top of the ruthless world and rule it, Hahaha!"

Nothing but silence appeared after that. Rio sat down on the floor and looked through the memory he'd recently gotten from the shard.

"I am able to refine, artifice, healing, and many more I learned through the 100,000 years of memory. I even know how to use origin magic which makes me use any magic without casting." Rio said trying not to get too excited about this major boost, Rio entered this new world after 10 years he found this inheritance and got knowledge far surpassing anybody.

"Well, what should I do now? Should I get back to the sect, making spell books that the sect has into origin spells and making it more convenient for me, however, it would be troublesome explaining the five years I would be gone, so it's best I don't go back, Wait…"

Rio brought out a book and looked at it, this must be the privacy rune, it caused me some trouble before but not anymore.

Rio simply used his finger and made his mana concentrate into a fine point and swiped vertically at the spine of the cover.

Normally it would need to be an artificing pen to do this kind of breaking or creating, however since Rio was now used to higher-level artificing, breaking a rune would be hard, Although is wasn't as efficient as it was in his memories, it was to be expected, he is after all restricted by his low cultivation level

Whoever placed this rune was someone from Altheim city, as no one around this time could create a rune of the level, this efficiently.

Rio heard a small crack until little ethereal dust barely visible to the human eye could see. Rio opened the book and saw the text in the runic language and at the back of the page seem to be a map…a map to Altheim city???

'System, absorb' although reading a book manually would be interesting since Rio didn't have a destination to go to, Rio can just go on an adventure towards Altheim city and see if he can see another great fortune, however, before he probably strayed too far from the academy, he would probably be found in a ditch somewhere, killed by beasts or vagabonds

Rio went to where he dropped down and found the same floor on the wall, he pushed and the metallic door opened above him, once he came out, Rio felt some movement in his space ring, Rio looked in the space ring and saw his token from the academy flashing.

"Shit...where they looking for me all this time? Even if they were should they stop after five years? I guess the little journey I was planning on taking will have to be delayed. The book also needs to go, I don't know if they will check me and my belongings."

Rio, I quickly burnt the book with a spell called fire glaze. A small-level spell he used without chanting due to his knowledge of origin magic, Rio didn't feel bad about the book since be already knew everything single word, apostrophe, and full stop that was in the book.

'Now, a story, what could I possibly tell them that would believe I would be gone for five years and leave unscathed? Maybe I entered the forest and was captured by elves and held prisoner for 5 years, I found a chance to take back my things and run away to this mountain. It could be plausible now that I know the elvish language, I could say I learned a bit about their language as pretend to know minuscule phrases, which is already an accomplishment on its own.'

'Okay let's stick with this story'. Rio started filtering and running probabilities of any questions they may ask and prepared for the worst-case scenario, they're probably already on their way, Rio estimated 15 minutes before they reach here
