A Princess’s Musings

As Marcius was traveling through the journey in order to meet with the Eternal Flames Phoenix, the rest of the Solas Empire was also moving along as time passed. Many hands were moving pieces in the shadows and the breaking point for the calamity known as the civil war of the Sun Throne was drawing nearer and nearer.

On one side stood the crown princess of the Solas royal family, the rightful heir to the Sun Throne. The other side was the nephew of the current ill and dying High King of the empire, Aulus Avitus – a man whose claim to the throne was no other than the simple fact that there were many of the lords in the Solas Empire who preferred a male ruler than a female one. Aulus had the support of the two dukedoms as well as countless clans that resided within the Solas empire. That was two-thirds of the political weight supporting the cousin of the crown princess.
