Just as she was about to pass by, Cynthia suddenly reached out to stop her.
"What's the rush? Are you going on a date or something?"
Amelie gazed at her with scorn.
She then left without saying a word.
Cynthia looked at her angrily but had to put up with it.
But this wasn't over.
After Amelie left the company, she took out her phone to call Jeff.
But a phone call came in. She checked it out and found it was Lamont.
Her fingers lingered on the screen as she hesitated to press the button.
The thought of what happened at the press conference unsettled her, and she rejected the call.
Amelie needed a space to take care of her private issues.
She would be joining the crew in two days, and it would be bad for her if her attitude continued like this.
Belen hurried over with some of Amelie's belongings.
"Amelie, everything is set. We can go now."
