Scarlet didn't think it was possible. "Three years have gone by and I do not have a child."

"And the woman your ex-husband moved on with had to fake having one. I don't think you are at fault for your marriage not having children come from it, so think twice about what you want me to do now," said Ian.

While he was eager to do as she wanted, one of them had to think about the consequences that could follow. They were not married and should a child come out of this, the town would have its time speaking about the fact she was unwed with a baby inside of her.
