The Renegade's Fire

Once again her screams were muffled by his hands and her attempt to move was inhibited by his massive body pressing his weight on hers, pinning her low to the ground. "Will you just shut-up" he whispered in her ear as the steps became louder "I'm trying to help you!" Confused, Ruma did as she was told and listened to the men stomping in their direction. "This isn't a good idea, I mean it's the King's estate. I just don't know.. " Another deeper voice quickly responded as the footsteps grew louder "Stop being a little whelp! You're a strong handsome brute of a thug! And by the time we make out with the lot, the riches will be ours and the Michaelson's will have burned. Ha!" Ruma tried not to make a sound while listening but could help the sound of shock that escaped her. "You really think I'm handsome Ollie?" The first voice whined back The first one replied "Of O'course Riley you're the most handsome mug around. If ye weren't a little bastard I'd a kiss ya and that might not even stop me!" The men laughed and walked by without even seeming to detect the interesting duo's presence. Once they were gone, the 'gentlemen' finally climbed off of Ruma and watched her as she struggled to get up. "You know it's not very gentlemanly to assault a lady without telling her your reasoning! One may think you were an evil, malicious attacker of sorts.." She pouted realizing she sounded slightly ridiculous. Apparently, the event of today had worn through her usual cool demeanor. The gentleman finally regained his composure, looking down on her from his abhorrent height of his. " First of all I was protecting you, 'My Lady'" He stifled a chuckle as Ruma scowled at him "Secondly" His eyes became dark, and his posture changed as if he were some type of predator as he stalked towards her " Who said I wasn't evil or malicious" "Haha," She said chuckling nervously, trying to hide her discomfort "If you were any of that you wouldn't have 'protected' me as you say" Ruma stood her ground, eyeing his tall frame as he came toe to toe with her small one. He looked down with a grin plastered on his face, he reached up, grabbing her chin forcing me to look upwards. Her heart seemed to want to beat right out of my chest, racing for dear life. "How do you know I'm protecting you for the right reasons?" Ruma tried to look away from his clouded hazel eyes, in hopes of not being swallowed up by them. But it was hopeless, "How could there be any wrong reasons?" she whispered out. He smirked, surprising her with a light kiss that set her nerves endings ablaze "Oh Hermosa" she blushed as he played with a piece of her hair, holding her close to his hard chest. Chapter 7

They had been waiting in the trees by the North Passageway for what seemed like hours. After they're little 'gathering' of sorts the group had jumped into the details of their raid and pulled they're newest member, Amora, in with them. Now she was crouching in the tree-line with an overly quiet Garret by her side.

"How much longer are we going to wait? I thought you said they'd be traveling along this passage before nightfall!" Garret simply rolled his eyes at her impatience "They'll be here, just be patient little Dragon" She glared "I thought I told you to stop calling me that! The berries in my hair are starting to smell and this dress you forced me into is scratchy. I thought I'd be able to wear my new clothes but nooo-"

"Shh" Garret whispered as his stance became tenser, he looked over at Amora and grabbed her arm "It's time, let's go"

Not questioning him, she shoved the sack they had given her previously into her dress and allowed the man to pull her into the middle of the dirt road. As the oncoming wagon slowed to a stop in front of them, Amora tried to calm the nerves racing through her body. "Remember, act as if you're in pain" She nods as she doubles over, holding her 'stomach' like any other woman in labor would do.

"Oh thank God! Sir sir my wife! Sh-she's in labor! Please good sir, could you allow us to ride along with you to the nearest town?"

Amora peeked up from her hunched position to see an annoyed looking burly man clambering down from the head of the wagon to confront her frantic 'husband'.

"Oy I don't care if your bitch gives birth in these bloody woods! I've orders ta keep a move on, else I'm out of a job! Savvy?!"

The fire flared up in Amora's irritation with the man, if this had been real would that man really have just tossed aside a woman in labor calling her some bitch? She smirked, sounds about right for the nation of Mordad.

She let out her best attempt at a pained scream as Garrett pleaded with the beastly guard "Please sir, I'm sure you're in a hurry but-"

She let out a surprised yelp as the burly man shoved Garrett down to the ground. He was definitely going to regret that.

"Oy Henderson! What's with the hold up?!" as the rest of the guards from the wagon headed in their direction to see what the commotion was about, Amora knew it was time for the show's big climax.

Collapsing to the ground, she let out the most disturbing scream she could muster "AAAAAaaaahhhhhhh! THE BABY! AAHHH! THE BABY'S COMING!!! PLEASE GOD, HELP!"

Within seconds the group of soldiers were either rushing towards her, or uncomfortably shifting back and forth in their place. "Miss please-" Amora's manufactured screams cut off every sentence that the men were trying to get out. All too uncomfortable to check between her legs but also to prideful to leave her in her state, they all simply hovered until Garrett came rushing back to her.

"Don't worry Amor, its going to be alright"

In the back of her mind, Amora knew this was the perfect time to do what she'd been craving to do since they met "YOU ARE SUCH A BASTARD! YOU DID THIS TO ME YOU WEASEL! I HATE YOU! WE ARE NEVER DOING THIS EVER AGAIN YOU UGLY NO GOOD-"

She had the attention of all the men there fixed on her as she battered an annoyed Garrett with insults as he roughly grabbed her legs, sending shivers through her body. "I love you too dear"

Amora and Garrett continued their charade, with Garrett using his mentalist skills to keep the guard's minds focused on their little show while the rest of the team successfully emptied the wagon.

When Ike sent the signal, Amora gave one final 'push' and Garrett successfully delivered the beautiful bouncing potato sack. Although in the minds of the guards, she knew that a happy little family and act of nature.

Thanking the men, they proceeded to get up and walk away.

They were nearly home free and hidden in the woods when the alarmed shouts of the guards sounded.

Garrett looked at her with panicked eyes as if he wasn't anticipating his illusion to disappear so suddenly. "Run" He murmured.

Her heart pounded in her chest as Garrett dragged her into the woods. "What the hell Garrett! Aren't we fine at this point?!" Garrett's chest heaved as he dragged the two of them through the woods, "You were only supposed to go as far as collapsing! I had to conjure a fucking baby out of a potato sack! I'm sorry if I'm a little drained!"

Amora screamed as an arrow whizzed by their heads, looking at Garrett with her wide eyes she said "What are we going to do now?"

Garrett looked around, then pointed to a clearing, "Over there! We need to get into the open so you can distract them while I sneak up from behind"

She looked up at him in terror "Me?!"

He nodded, shoving her out of the way of another deadly arrow "Go Amora!"

She nodded, steeling herself as she tried to calm her nerves and keep the fire from erupting. Amora ran, the whole time praying that the arrows would keep straying away from her form and Garrett would have a way to keep the whole forest from burning down when this was over.

She stopped, planting herself in the middle of the clearing as the guards closed in on her. She turned to see their enraged faces leering as they edged closer and closer "Witch!" one screamed "The little bitch is a demon!" she became frantic as the rest murmured in agreement "Conjuring a baby and a husband, stealing from us! Such a demon can't be allowed to walk among us any longer" A cheer went up as Amora stood there with wide eyes, trying to calm her nerves and control the fire.

She didn't want to hurt anyone.

It would've been a good thing to realize before this point, but it was all too clear now.

The question now was, how the hell was she going to get out of this mess?
