Cardiovascular Surgery Department

Wen Xi smiled and nodded at Si Xing. She understood her mentor's advice. She knew what she was about to face and had no fear or doubt in her heart. She would have to work hard to succeed because nothing had ever been able to win against her parents.

When she came out of Si Xing's office, an hour had already passed. As she decided to participate in the support project, she still needed to submit some supplementary information and some related procedures in the hospital.

Wen Xi's main purpose today was just to get in touch with Si Xing. She thought that she could finally get in through her teacher's 'back door' like Ding Min and Liu Tian had always said, and she felt both amused and helpless!

She strolled back to the doctor's office in her department and started her day's work. Although these were all things she had done in the past, Wen Xi was not impatient. She had put aside her original intentions of getting into this hospital because of Chen Ze. In fact, she herself liked being a doctor very much. This was also her own dream in the beginning.

She needed to look through a patient's case book, so Wen Xi quickly entered her work state. After talking to her mentor for a while, she managed to adjust her mentality so that she wouldn't feel so down from her past life. Now, as long as she doesn't see Chen Ze, then she would feel completely fine.

Ding Min leaned in front of the office's water dispenser, her eyes on Wen Xi. With some anger and defiance, after taking a few deep breaths, she began to throw sarcastic remarks at Wen Xi in front of the few doctors working in the office,

"We did our ward rounds this morning with Director Chen and his men, but you weren't there. You're a very arrogant person, aren't you? Just because you have Director Si as your mentor, do you think you're some sort of princess? Why don't you take a good look at what kind of person you are! Don't be so smug, Wen Xi!"

It was not unusual for Ding Min to verbally mock and ridicule Wen Xi. She had always been a straightforward fool. She had a rather cute face, but she never did anything that matched up with her looks.

When it came to picking on Wen Xi, she never knew when enough was enough. Many doctors in the Cardiovascular Surgery Department were speechless at her behavior!

As the doctors in the department were all colleagues whom she met often, she deliberately made things difficult for Wen Xi because of her own selfish and jealous desires. It was really too stupid and embarrassing!

That was why many people hated and felt ashamed of her. Compared to Wen Xi, who was quick-witted, smart, and reserved, everyone hated Ding Min more.

As the protagonist of Ding Min's sarcasm, Wen Xi had not even opened her mouth to fight back when the doctors from the same department raised their eyes and looked coldly at Ding Min. There were some who couldn't stand it anymore, one of them being Li Yu, who directly asked, "It's just a weekly routine for Director Chen and his men to bring us for ward rounds. What does that have to do with Dr. Wen? If you can talk so much nonsense, aren't you the same? Have you settled the few patients you have? When I came over from the other ward, I heard that the patient's family members were very dissatisfied with you. Have you dealt with them?"

Looking at Ding Min's eyes that were wide open, Li Yu sneered and continued, "Even if you don't tell me, I know that you didn't handle these things well! You dawdle around in the office all the time, yet you have the face to criticize our Dr. Wen, who has always been well-received? Why are you so shameless?"

"You're like a mad dog, biting everyone you see. The only reason why you haven't been dealt with is because Director Chen has always been busy and has no time to deal with the foul atmosphere in this department. If he really had the time, you would've been the first one to be chewed up by him! Now hurry up and get to work!"

Li Yu was one of the attending doctors in the Cardiovascular Surgery Department. In terms of rank, she was higher than Ding Min and Wen Xi. Thus, it was reasonable for her to lecture Ding Min. No matter how unconvinced Ding Min was on the surface or in her heart, there was no way she could fight back. She understood the saying 'a high position can always be crushed by a higher one'!

Wen Xi was very happy that she didn't have to speak up to this nauseating girl.
