Chapter Forty-Nine: New Problem
Percy's POV
The little miss could tell from my expression that the boy and his pack weren't good news. Thank goodness for her quick brain. She started explaining all she knew about him.
"He knows Third, but doesn't like him. He seems to have problems with his pack, and he has attachment issues. Something is up with him, right?"
The second-to-last part wasn't necessary, but so far, everything she said meant she wasn't fond of the boy's closeness to her. I walked back. "You might miss school tomorrow."
I didn't wait for her reaction and left to meet Third. How could he not have identified the young boy when he and his father used to oversee the warriors and hunters at Hardin?
Third and Second weren't in the living room anymore, so I sent a commander to call them while I sat down, trying to calm myself.
