Ch. 16 Tease

[Ugh work has been chaotic recently. It should start slowing back down so I have the time and energy to write. Adulting isn't easy. I do have another fic I'm writing and like this one will updated irregularly. Sorry about that. Well it's a One Piece fic I'm writing for fun as well. Enjoy 👍]

When Jei woke up, he was back at Kaede's shack. He was covered in bandages and noticed there was a weight on his legs.

He sat and saw Snek, sleeping soundly on top of him.

'How long was I out? And who changed me into these clothes?'

He was wearing a old style black kimono with white square like patterns. It strangely suited him.

Snek woke up after feeling Jei move around.

Shha (Good morning, Master.)

Jei pat the little snake, it seems everything turned out well.

He stood up with Snek around his neck again.

He noticed his hair was still long and but had reverted to it's original black color, and the tattoos he had on his body were gone.

'I felt so powerful at that time...' Jei thought back to his fight against Yura. He suddenly remembered at the end of the fight, that the Sacred Jewel had splintered into many fragments and shot into different directions.

His eyes shook when he recalled it.

'Damn, are we going to have to collect all the pieces?' He already knew that even if the jewel was fragmented, it was not detroyed.

'Maybe the jewel wont be able to hold us here now?' He thought, but he knew even if he could, he still hadn't ruled out Yuma being in thit world but his intuition told him she wasn't.

He lifted himself off the straw mat and slid the door open to exit the home.

"Sit boy!" A feminine voice called out followed by a loud crash.

"Ugh! What'd you do that for?!" The aggrieved voice of Inuyasha sounded out.

"You said such a mean thing and then ask that?!" Kagome sounded mad with the dogboy, and Jei couldn't help but giggle at thier antics.

"What'd he do? Peep on you in the bath?" Jei said with humor in his voice getting thier attention.

"Jei! You're awake!"

"Good morning, Kagome." Jei stretched his arms. "How long was I sleeping anyway?"

Kagome looked relieved to see him up and responded. "A whole day! I was really worried about you."

Jei scratched the back of his head, "Hehe, sorry. Got any plans for today? Want to go visit your home?"

Kagome smiled brightly that Jei remembered his promise to escort her back to the well.

"Yeah, that would be great! I um... actually just want to visit. I've decided to stay and help find the shards of the sacred jewel."

Jei smiled, he wasnt surprised. Even though the jewel has fragmented and is no longer in her possession, she still chooses to stay and help find them.

"Okay, let's head over in a bit. I'm curious if I am able to follow you to your time period."

"Wait!"

Jei turned to see Inuyasha glaring at him.

"What?"

Inuyasha didnt respond right away but grumbled and then seemed to find his resolve.

"Teach me how to become a full demon." Inuyasha asked him.

"Huh? What do you mean? How can I teach you that?" Jei was confused about what he meant.

"That time! When that demon woman attacked, you turned into a full demon. I want you to teach me that."

Jei pondered for only a moment.

"I refuse."

Inuyasha froze at his immediate rejection. He then rushed in front of the departing duo and just stared at Jei, making Jei suddenly feeling like punching him.

"I already refused. What do you want to do?" Jei was about to flare out his aura out of annoyance when Inuyasha did something that left him surprised.

The dog boy knelt down with his hands poised to in front of him.

"Please... sensei..." Inuyasha squeezed those words out through clenched teeth despite his inherent pride.

Jei scratched the back of his head and reconsidered due to the boys sincerity.

"Ah! Fine! But don't cry to me if my training is to hard for you."

"You'll teach me?!" Inuyasha sprang up and asked. He almost looked like an excited puppy in Jei's eyes.

'I'm already regretting this.' Jei thought.

"Yes, but I'll get you started for now and then take Kagome home. Sorry Kagome can you give me a few minutes?"

She didn't have a problem with that and said to take his time.

"Okay, Inuyasha let's start with these." Jei used his Spirit Cuff technique again and bound his wrists. During the battle with Yura he had dispelled the Spirit Cuffs from Inuyasha before passing out.

Inuyasha was only able to move at that time due to Yura's hair and once she was defeated Inuyasha was able to regain control.

"These things?! Hey! How are these supposed to help me?" Inuyasha yelled indignantly. He had already suffered because these cuffs once and didn't understand how they were used in training.

Jei gave him the rundown on how it worked. The cuffs disrupted the flow of spiritual energy causing the person affected to not be able to move correctly. Once the person learns to control their energy enough, they would be able to move.

Not only that once the cuffs are removed the person who was wearing them will realise they now have enormous control of their own energy.

Inuyasha was a bit dimwitted but Jei told him in a way he would understand.

Inuyasha was doubtful they could really help him but in good faith he began focusing on the task at hand.

"Well that's all set. Ready, Kagome?"

Kagome sprung up excitedly, "Yep. All set. Hey will those really help him become a full demon? Wouldnt that be a bad thing?"

Jei understood why she thought so. The demons she has met have all been bad, but that doesn't mean that all demons are bad.

"Kagome, demons come in all shapes and sizes. But they are no different than humans in many ways. They just have a different way of living than humans do. And to answer whether he can become a full demon or not... that's up to him."

She and Jei talked about themselves and got to know each other better before getting to the well.

"Shall we?" He asked to which she nodded.

He grabbed her waist which caused her to yelp then he jumped into the well.

The ground opened up with a portal as they reached the bottom and they both were pulled through.

A moment later they were at the bottom of the same well but the atmosphere was different.

"Jerk! You could at least have given me a warning!" Kagome puffed her cheeks cutely.

"Sorry, sorry. I just thought it would be quicker.

"Hmph!" She turned head like a tsudere which caused Jei to chuckle a bit.

"Well we need to get out of the well now. You ready this time?" He asked smugly.

"Fine. But be careful where you touch..." she said with a dusting of crimson on her cheeks.

"Yeah, yeah... here we go." He grabbed her waist again which caused to jolt for a moment.

It was clear she was not used to male contact and Jei wondered in if Yuma could act cute like that?

He brushed off his thoughts and leapt out of the well with grace before setting Kagome down.

"There. Wasn't so bad, was it?"

Kagome just turned toward the door and brushed off his comment.

"L-lets go. I'll introduce you to my family." She said as she walked out of the shed leaving Jei to once again chuckle at the girl.

'She's fun to tease.' He thought before following after her.
