With every passing moment, the flood's ferocity grew and despite their best efforts, the waters began to close in around them.

Spheris leaped through rock after rock, while Cerene surfed the waves of the flood. She was healthy now, back to her normal self because of the present excessive supply of marine energy. But now, they needed some land, and they could not find any.
