In Which they cause a Bar Fight

At sixteen, Nora had unfortunately dealt with her share of ruffian men. In her eyes, though, Stefan might've been the worst. An arrogant alpha wannabe he was everything wrong about werewolves and the last person she had wanted to bump into in New Orleans. But here he stood, smirking down at her. "Well, if it isn't the spoiled rich girl, that's top good for magic. What are you doing here?" He asked in a grating tone. "Slumming it?"

Nora could've answered him. Or cursed him into submission. She wasn't sure why she didn't do either of those things. Perhaps it was Evanora inside, or the five drinks she had. All she knew is that she could do the worse thing you could do in a werewolf bar. She let rage take over. She balled her fists and punched him straight in the face. Stefan fell into the backs of another bunch of Werewolves that stood up and growled. Nora gulped but thankfully some of the Witches appeared behind her. Thunder crackling over head.

For a moment Nora wondered what exactly humans saw when this sort of thing happened. With a shrug she and the other Witches jumped the wolves fighting (instead of using their magic) which made Nora reflect on whether or not this sort of thing happened often.

Freya blinked for a moment at the sudden thundercloud that appeared over the bar before the whole room devolved into chaos. "What?" she asked.

Damian laughed. "This is normal. Typical of wolves." He said.

Freya frowned. "Wolves. Like Hunter?" Sheasked curiously.

"You met Hunter already?" Damian asked.

"Yeah. He's nice."

"He has his moments." A man with curly blonde hair, and round glasses said as he leaned on their table looking at the room with a scowl. "I'm guessing those are my wolves that started the fight?" He asked.

"Who knows." Damian said with a shrug. "Your wolves are a boisterous type, Scotty."

"Don't remind me." Scotty said with a scowl, he glanced behind him, noticed Freya and immediately straightened. "I don't believe I've met your friend." he said with a charming smile, that made Damien snigger under his breath.

"Freya. Scotty." he said with a wave of his hand. He leaned over towards Freya smirking at Scotty. "You probably can't tell, but Scotty over here is Alpha to a pack of wolves."

Freya glanced around at where a full out brawl was happening from where they stood. "The pack of wolves tearing apart the bar?" Freya asked.

Scotty sighed. "I wish I could tell you this is out of the ordinary but I'd be lying."

Freya grinned as she looked over at the wolves. There was nothing about them that would make you think they were out of the ordinary. Their obvious fondness for leath and shaggy hair aside. She looked back at the table only to find that Scotty was frowning at her. "I don't mean to be rude," He began only to stop at hearing Damien's snigger.

"Never a good place to start, Alpha." Scotty scowled, Freya decided to rescue him from his misery.

"I am a werewolf. I just don't belong to any pack." Freya said. "I was made, not born."

Scotty's frown disappeared as he suddenly looked solemn. "Curse?"

"Decades long, stuck as a werewolf." She said with a sigh, taking another shot.

"I'm sorry." he said quietly. "I know being a wolf is not something you chose, but it's not completely horrible. While there are a lot of faults with being a wolf, there are also beauty in the fragility of being a wolf. Of being free to run in the wild."

"I guess that's the difference." Freya mused. "I've known only the bad aspects of being a wolf. Of being hunted and looked down on." She put her head in her hands. "I was once a Queen fighting for her people. Now they are all gone."

"Whatever happens, you will always have a place in my pack." Scotty said.

Freya looked at him in surprise. "Why?" she asked.

"I once had a friend," Scotty said his eyes going to Hunter who'd just barged in screeching at the brawlers. "That I should've helped, but didn't." he said looking at Freya.

"Curses' don't always end in the way you would've thought."
