"You idiot!" Jeff screamed in frustration.
He was really blinded by anger now, not caring what would happen. He started moving his body, trying to put up a useless resistance, but this only made Rafael's grip on his neck stronger.
'Dammit, just what is he? Is it even possible for a person's grip to be this strong? It's not like he is Aiyden,' Jeff cursed in his mind.
"Wait! Let's talk about this peacefully. We are all smart students in the best class at the best academy. We should be civil to each other."
"Sure, come down, both of you and take out your phone," Rafael ordered.
The two looked at each other. They ruminated on their choice but decided to go down. They had been with Jeff for a while and knew what would happen if they abandoned him.
It wouldn't just end up as a petty fight between kids. He would retaliate by firing both their parents, impacting their whole family.
Jeff could do this without even talking to his parents, as their father's position was not that important in the company.
Rafael smirked, seeing both of them at the same level as him. "Name?" Rafael asked.
"Chuck," replied one of them. He had a chubbier and shorter body compared to the other.
"Rusty."
Both of them had black hair, blue eyes, and brown skin.
He pulled Jeff upward and then slammed him into the wall without any mercy.
Seeing the strength Rafael exerted, both of them gulped down.
'Is he still human?' the question formed in their minds, but none dared to ask it out loud.
Rafael then moved to the side, but his hand still clutched Jeff's neck, making him unable to move.
"Rusty, record everything, but make sure it doesn't capture my face. Then you, Chuck, hit Jeff."
His order made Chuck freeze. Rusty had no problem as he was just recording, but for Chuck, it would destroy his relationship with Jeff.
Meanwhile, Jeff glared at Chuck, his eyes silently conveying, 'Try it if you dare.'
Seeing him not moving, Rafael smiled. "I see punching is too much. You know, as I said before, I know who your father is, Jeff.
You think his status and wealth are your shields, but let me douse you with the brutal truth.
It can be your shield but, at the same time, also your burden.
Now, what if I strip you naked and then throw you to our friend Chuck here? What do you think will happen if this video is released to the public?"
Jeff gulped, fear starting to grasp his heart. If what Rafael said really happened, he was sure his father would retaliate against Rafael, but this didn't mean he would get off scot-free.
The best scenario would be being sent overseas but in the worst case... it's possible he could be disowned publicly, depending on the video content.
Seeing his expression, Rafael felt satisfied. He threw Jeff's body toward Rusty and Chuck, making them fumble in the process.
"Today is just a warning, but remember, I am not joking around. If you ever try to find trouble with me again, I will make sure that spells your end, no matter the cost," Rafael said coldly while he took Rusty's phone from his hand.
Rafael sent the video of what happened to his phone. Even though it showed he was the one bullying, he felt Jeff would still not want it to be spread around.
From his judgment, Jeff was a simple person. He was already underestimated at home, and the school was the only place he could feed his ego.
There was no way he would want a video of him getting beaten up shared with the students.
Rafael smirked, then split the phone into two, making Rusty yelp in surprise. He then threw it on the ground, leaving the trio behind.
In reality, the video would cause more trouble for Rafael, but he didn't feel worried. In his experience, people are not logical; they prioritize their emotions despite what they do being stupid. And he knew he was no exception.
If something happened to his sister, may all logic be damned. He would do everything necessary, no matter what the cost was.
Returning to the class, Rafael saw Aiyden already seated.
"Hi, Aiyden, you just arrived?"
Aiyden replied with a nod, then didn't say anything further.
Rafael felt more sure now that Aiyden could not talk, so he replied with the same gesture, then walked toward his seat.
Class would start soon, so he wouldn't have enough time to talk with Aiyden.
As he got close to his seat, Suiyin put down her book. "What did you do to them now? I hope you didn't kill them," she asked with a smile.
Rafael's lips twitched. "Kill? What kind of person do you think I am?"
"Hmm... someone that will do whatever you deem necessary without hesitation."
Hearing her say it without hesitation made Rafael smirk. "We only met yesterday. How can you be so sure?"
"I have confidence in my skills, but honestly, who in this class won't think that after what you did yesterday?
So tell me, what did you do with them? Are they still alive?"
"I am not a murderer," Rafael replied flatly as he took his seat.
"I see, so it's still not necessary to kill them yet," Suiyin replied with a chuckle.
"Look..." Rafael wanted to explain himself more but stopped, seeing Jeff and the others return to the class.
The other members of his group quickly stood up and walked toward them.
Rusty had one of his eyes swollen blue, while Chuck didn't have any wounds, but based on how he moved, Rafael suspected he was punched in the gut.
Rusty and Chuck explain to their friends what happened while Jeff looks at Rafael with hatred. But he just clenched his fist without saying anything.
Suiyin, seeing this, whispered, "Careful Rafael, even a cornered rat will try to bite back. A man like Jeff will certainly not give up."
