Chapter Nine: Search And Discover

Raven arrives at Lysette's hut and knocks on the door. She had hoped that she would be home but as she waits, she begins to become discouraged. " Lysette? " she calls out, but she receives no reply. Finally, she pushes open the door, worrying that something could have happened to her and finds the house is empty. " Lysette.." Raven says to herself. Finally realizing that being here was going to be a waste or her time. And that she would instead go back to Shawn. And with that, she dissapears. Having not noticed the copy of the book of fate that Lysette had placed on her shelf.

She arrived back home where she found Shawn sitting with Penelope who was falling asleep in his arms. She looked so peaceful when with him. Young Penny loved her father very much and Raven already tell she was going to be a daddy's girl. " You two doing okay? " Raven whispered.

" Yeah. We are just resting. You didn't find Lysette? " Shawn was surprised to see Raven return so quickly.

" She wasn't home. I don't know where she is or if she is safe but I guess we are gonna have to do this without her. I'm gonna go read up some stuff and maybe try to figure out how I'm going to bring all those people back. The forbidden magic is for one person but bringing so many people. .I don't even know how that is possible. I'm not even entirely sure how Gwen came back..or Gabriel...or Santara" Raven explained.

" Well why don't you go ask Gwen. I mean Gabriel didn't remember but maybe she would..." Shawn pointed out. " You are actually probably right on that. I should go ask. Be right back" Raven teleported away and appearing in the Vampire throne room where Gwen and Nate seemed to be having a conversation about something to do with food.

" So, I'm sorry to bother you but when you came back from death...do you have any idea how that happened? " Raven asked, hoping she would have some clarification that could aid them.

" No. One minute I was dead and the next minute I was alive. It was like..almost instanious or something. But I do remember something like...I don't know..I think there was a black door and white room or something" She explained which made Raven even more curious. " A white room you say? That is interesting "

Nate finally spoke and pointed out that he had seen a red eye at the bottom of a crator at the center of the Underworld. " A red eye? " Raven asked, seeming confused that there would be something like that even in the Underworld much less a crator.

" Yeah I don't know. I didn't mess with it. Figured I'd leave it alone as it ain't my business" he chuckles as he leans back in the throne, trying to get comfy.

" Alright well thank you both for all your help. " Raven knew she was going to have to investigate this red eye situation. It sounded strange and it positive whatsoever. She wasn't even sure why she felt that way. But the feeling of dread washed over her and she knew she needed to figure it out.

And so, Raven teleports to the crator of which Nate Spoke about.

And once she reached the bottom, there was indeed a red eye. She looked over it but couldn't recognize it from any symbols within her memory. It looked almost completely foreign and yet somehow resignated with the world itself. It felt forgein and yet as though it belonged there. The question is, did it appear after the crator? Or had it been there the entire time and only revealed by the crater. This was going to take some time to figure out. Raven waved her hand over the eye and nothing happened. It seemed to radiate energy and yet didn't react to hers whatsoever. This made no sense considering all energy would typically react with other energy. Everything about this was strange. She touched the symbol with her hand but still, nothing happened. No reaction for the symbol whatsoever.

" What the hell is this thing? " Raven pondered. She thought maybe it was something from Outworld but it didn't feel like that type of energy to her either. It was something all its own. Raven held out her hand and began sketching a replica of the eye so that she could refer back to it later in case she was able to find anything in the books she had back at home.

And with that, Raven returned home and told Shawn what Nate had said and showed him the picture of the eye.

" Well I don't know about the eye but I do know something about a white room. Back when Gabriel died, I found Kara in a white room back at her Palace. It was interesting. If you want, I can try to look through books while you go and investigate the room? " Shawn offered which gave Raven some relief. " Thank the Gods I have you " She leans foward and kisses him softly and then leans down and Kisses Penelope's forehead. " I promise I will be back soon you two.

And with that, she was gone again. She traveled to Kara's palace she spent the next several hours searching for the white room Shawn had mentioned. Eventually she did find it, but it was just a white room with only one door for entry and exit. " Okay room..You've got secrets and momma is gonna find out what they are " Raven smirks as she waves her hands over the walls. Searching for any sign of magic whatsoever within them but finds nothing.

" Alright, so maybe it isn't magic. Maybe it's more physical? " Raven smiled as she held out her hand and a large hammer appeared. She begin smashing it against the walls but none of them displayed so much as a scratch on them after she was done. " So you aren't magic. Your strong as hell. But yet, you may have something to do with people coming back back life. So what is the secret.." Raven sits down against the wall and looks around the room. The walls seemed so blank, and didnt seem to indicate anything that would show a way to bring people back from the dead. The room itself didn't even feel as though magic was present. Which was off to Raven considering the sheer location of it. All the rooms in the palace had some form of magic within them, and yet this one doesn't? Ravenlooked around, eventually looking up and seeing a small black square in the ceiling. " Gotcha" Raven smiled.
