Chapter Eleven: The Effort Stiffled

Raven stares up at the small black space on the ceiling. She knew there was something off. However, despite her investigation, she couldn't seem to make it do anything. She sensed no magic coming from it, and yet it seemed to be different than anything else in the room. It had no magical properties from what she could see. " Alright. Well let's try something else" Raven holds out her hand and throws an energy blast towards the small space which seems to absorb the blast.

" Okay..well that is different" Raven was not actually expecting it to have absorbed the blast, and that is when she heard a voice call to her. A voice that she both knew and didn't know all too well.

" What are you looking for? " the voice called out from the small space.

" I want to know how Gabriel, Gwen, and Santara returned from death? " Raven answered, being on high guard, not being sure what she was communicating with entirely.

" The answer you seek is meaningless" the voice called back back her. It seemed so sure of the words it was saying, it's tone was calm and unwavering.

" Its not meaningless. If learn how they came back, I can begin to fix things" Raven explained. Whoever this voice belonged to, it was someone who knew a lot more about the things going on and Raven needed to persist. She needed to find out as much as she could, but she still couldn't identify the voice..

" The Solution you seek was nothing but a hasty correction. The world is already set to perish, as there is nothing that can correct what has been done" the voice answers.

" A correction? To fix the world? Well it didn't fix anything. There are still several problems that we are dealing with. If you could just help me, it would help tremendously. You can't tell me that there is only one single thing that would save everyone" it was a long shot, but getting help or answers from whatever this thing would be better than what she was working.

" You already know what has to be done. You just refuse to allow it to happen" the voice answers..Raven knew what it was referring to.

" You want us to Kill Gabriel..but there has to be another way. It feels like that wouldn't even solve anything. And if Gabriel was bad for the world, why would you let him back into the world? You are the one who brought him back! And that means you are a part of the problem which means you need to help us fix it. "

The voice never offered a reply to Raven despite her calls to it. This was infuriating. It made no sense as to why it wanted Gabriel dead. There needs to be suffienct reason for making such a demand. This was not helping whatsoever. If anything, it just made things more complicated Raven sighed, knowing she wasn't going to get anywhere with this. And so she leaves and heads back to Shawn who had just layed Penelope down.

" Hey Rave, did you find out anything? " Shawn asked, turning to Raven who looked rather dissapointed. " Not really. All I found out was the same thing that you have already been told about. Apparently Gabriel's death is something that is required" Raven explained. Shawn wasn't all that thrilled about the news. " Look, I don't know how we are going to pull this off. But we aren't going to kill him. And we are going to find a way to bring the Lycans back. We will find a way and things are going to be okay" Shawn assured Raven who smiled at his confidence with their odds. Though he himself had his own doubts

" Well did you find out anything about the eye? " Raven asked, having expected him to find nothing at all. " No not really. From the books I did look at, there was nothing on it. Not even close. Which makes me feel like this is something completely new. As in, something that is not native to the Underworld whatsoever. Which makes me concerned as to how it got there and or who put it there" Shawn had been trying his best to find anything he could on the symbol. Even searching his own memory and not remembering seeing anything like that within Outworld. And considering he was banned from his home, he wouldn't be able to return there.

Raven hugs him tightly, trying to not cry from the stress she was feeling inside. " I don't know what the hell we need to even do. I mean we can't possibly need to kill Gabriel..right? "
