Chapter Sixty One: The Unexpected Interuption

It had been days since Aurora and The Lycan Queen had set out on their journey to find their children. They had no real idea who had taken their children but they assumed that the Vampires had something to do with it. Their journey had been rather slow so far but that was primarily due to the two not being entirely sure what they were going to do when they arrived at the Kingdom of Vampires.

If they made accusations without proof, then it would surely start another war. And if they did nothing, it would make them appear weak in the eyes of their own people. The burdens of being in charge of thousands upon thousands of lives weighed heavily on their minds.

" If they are missing one of theirs..then who could have possibly taken them.." Aurora questioned as they walked towards the kingdom. The Lycan Queen had thought about the answer to that question from the beginning of the journey. If not the Vampires, then they had no direction to go. They had nothing benefitting them other than baseless assumptions and flaring tempers.

" I just feel like we failed as parents..how could we lose our babies.." Aurora whimpered, as the Lycan Queen placed her hand on Auroras shoulder. " We can't see everything at once, and we have alot on pur plates. We made a mistake, a mistake that we will not make again" She assured Aurora who nodded. " I will never let her out of my sight again " Aurora vowed with every fiber of her being to herself.

" I can't believe he is gone ya know? How did everything get so damn messy.." The Lycan tried to remove the images from her mind of her late husband.

" I have to be strong" She continued telling herself though she was working off of fumes at this point. Her energy was low, her mental stare was deteriorating and she knew that if things kept up the way they were going, she wouldn't last much longer. But still, she had to push forward, for her son and for her people.

" They had better be alive.." Aurora stopped speaking for a moment a sudden silence fell upon them within the thick dark forest in which they were traversing. Before, birds could be heard chirping and animals could be heard scurrying across the fallen leafs but now, nothing. In an instance, everything stopped and tension began to rise.

" What is this? " The Lycan Queen questioned, looking around trying to get a sense for what would have caused this unnatural event.

" I don't know but whatever it is..we may need to be ready for a fight" as the two began readying themselves, a cloaked figure stepped out of the darkness.

" Two Queens..out on an adventure? Must be very I'mportant" Aurora fixated on the cloaked figure as they began to circle around the two Queens.

" Who are you..and what do you want? " Aurora called out to the mysterious person who did not respond.

" I think we may need to retreat.." Aurora began backing away as the Lycan Queen stepped forward.

" I have no intentions of backing down from whoever this is. It's one person.." she began tightening her fists.

" Exactly...it's one person. Don't you think it's suspicious that one single person would confront two of the strongest people within the Underworld? Either they are far more stronger than they seem..or this is an ambush" Aurora reasoned but the Lycan disregarded the concerns.

" I don't sense any form of danger coming from them" and with that The Lycan Queen charged at the figure who simply stepped to the side, avoiding the attack with tremoundous speed.

" Why are you so aggressive? I have done nothing to you " The stranger questioned with a small smile.

" Stay out of our way" The Queen demanded as she kept her back turned from the stranger and began walking forward, continuing on her path.

" I don't know who you are, or what you want..but we have places to be and as long as you don't follow us, we won't have a problem " Aurora nodded to the stranger she followed behind the Lycan Queen.

" Well, I thought you two were looking for your children? " The stranger called out which made the Queens stop and quickly turn to the stranger.

" WHERE IS MY SON? " The Lycan Queen walks back to the stranger.

" He is with me, and so is Kara" The stranger chirps happily.

" Why did you take them? " Aurora questioned, staying still and not approaching the stranger, getting an increasingly unsettling feeling from this stranger.

" Don't worry, no harm has come to them. I have them right here with me" The stranger waved her hands in the hair which made two cribs appear beneath them.

" I took them because I wanted to meet the future of our world" The stranger smiled as the Lycan Queen took a giant swing at the cloaked figure who turned into a black vapor the moment the Lycans fist made contact on skin.

" I don't like this.." Aurora thought to herself. " Something about all of this isn't right.." Aurora knew this had to be a trick of some sort but as she looked upon Kara, she was pleased to see that Kara appeared normal and unharmed.

" Your people did this.." The Lycan Queen growled.

" Excuse me? " Aurora questioned.

" The magic that person used. It was a Witch. Whatever it is..it used witching magic. Which means one of your kind took my child.." The Lycan Queens anger was increasing by the second.

" Well they also took my Kara.." Aurora argued.

" Stay away from me..keep your people away from the Lycan Kingdom because I can promise you this Witch..if you or your people come anywhere near the vicinity of my Kingdom..there will be war..and your people will die..but you will be the first.." And with that, The Lycan Queen grabbed Gabriel in her arms and held him against her chest and stormed off.

" Shit"
