Chapter 24

MARINA

I had just finished eating lunch and washing dishes when Adam's parents came to mind. I hurriedly clean the table and wash my hands before walking upstairs to choose a dress or casual to wear. I'm a bit nervous meeting them and I want myself to look presentable in their eyes.

I run my hands in my closet. I don't know what to wear when Adam introduces me to his parents. I was nervous as to whether they didn't like me and what if they wanted a different woman for Adam. I run my hands in my messy hair and dump my body in the bed.

I stopped thinking I remembered someone close to me. I immediately took my cell phone out of the bag.

'Aunt Emily, how are you? I'm sorry if I just texted you when things were a bit confusing but don't worry because everything has been resolved, "I tap the send bar and wait for her reply.

I silently prayed she would reply and not mad at me and a minute passed Aunt Emily replied.
