Chapter 6: The Protector's Concern

YN walked into her apartment, exhausted from a long day of investigating. She noticed a bouquet of flowers on her appartment door, with a card that read: "You're always on my mind ~j."

She sighed, feeling uneasy. This was the fifth time this week she'd received a mysterious gift or message. She had no idea who was behind it, but it was starting to creep her out.

Just then, her phone rang. It was Alex.

"Hey, YN. How's your day going?" he asked, his voice filled with freshness.

"It's going," she replied, trying to sound casual. "Just dealing with some weird stuff.... Remmber? i told you that someone's been sending me gifts and messages, and I have no idea who it is."

 Alex said, his tone serious. "ohh dont worry yn , I've been looking into it. That's why I'm calling. I want to help you."

YN hesitated. "Alex, I appreciate it, but I can handle it. I don't want to put you in danger."

"Danger? YN, I'm already involved. I work with some dangerous people, remember? And I'm your friend. I'm not going to let someone harass you without doing something about it."

YN sighed. "Alex, please, and i really dont want you to work with these kind of people,Just stay out of it . I'll figure it out myself."

There was a pause on the other end of the line. "Fine, YN. But know that I'm watching your back, even if you don't want me to."

YN nodded, even though he couldn't see her. "Thanks, Alex. I appreciate it."

As she hung up the phone, she couldn't shake off the feeling that Alex was hiding something from her. And he was caught in the middle, trying to protect her while also keeping his secrets safe
