Xander had to read the words displayed on the screen again and again, he himself knew that he was no Phoenix maybe someone like the fire lord or the high ranking officials of the four Nations, but he knew that he was no Phoenix he was just a weakling. He had his eyes on the screen and soon scrolled up to read the system notifications.

Just looking at the notifications as well as the new skill that he just acquired thanks to the system,everything that was happening right now was just a little too fast for him. A few minutes ago he had seen his life flash before his eyes and now he was miraculously healed and now had a natural skill which seemed as good as an ability, before he could think about anything a ding was heard and a notification screen appeared in front of him.

Xander instantly looked at the black coloured book, picking it up he tried to put it into his chest as he was expecting it to dissolve just like the fist book but nothing happened, he was a bit confused but another ding was hear and the answer literally appeared before him.

Xander decided to select yes since the system did give it to him as a quest,and he also wanted to see what to find out what would happen if he learned it through the system,and after selecting yes another notification appeared.

[Two Smoke skills has been Unlocked]

[Smoke Block Level1: It makes the attacker hit a cloud of smoke everything time he/she makes an attempt to hit the user. But the skill won't work if the attack is too strong]

[Smoke Control Level1: It enables the user to control a limited amount of smoke,and to transform the smoke into different objects]

[Time Limit: Fifteen Minutes]

Xander could not help but smile knowing that there were other smoke skills since the system didn't say that it was only two smoke skills and he couldn't help but smile at the though. After a while of staring at the system, his eyes finally movedtowards the night sky, he was a bit worried that he might get scolded when he got home, despite him being deep in the woods he wasn't lost since he had been coming here since he was a child and he had enough time to explore the area.

When he was running home he started to think now that I have a smoke skill and the phoenix system he wanted to try new skills he had he was going to Great Lake Academy.

It was the one place where he would be able to learn different forms of martial arts as well as weaponry to be a good place to train his skills another way of thinking his thoughts came to a halt he was finally home and it was time to put his plans into action.

He got into the house and went into the kitchen and he met his mother there, she was standing there and after they exchanged he exchanged pleasantries with her and he went to the kitchen.

His mother usually waited for him there since it was his favourite part of the house.

And after his dinner his mother ask him why he came home late he simply told her that he was busy practicing his ability book and he didn't know when time flew so quickly.

And thankfully she accepted the apologies for her son besides it wasn't like he could just say

'Mother a woman gave me two books and I was on my way to learn them when I got attacked by bullies one of them struck me with lightning and I crashed into the woods and broke a few bones after a while of sobing the book flew into my chest and i was granted a system', it wasn't like she was going to believe him since even he found it a bit hard to believe.

And after dinner he went to her room and knocked before coming in when he heard the words "come in".

He sat at the edge of the bed before he started speaking " Mum I want to go to Great Lake Academy, and i need your permission. I want to try and build myself I know I can't learn any of the abilities of the four nation but there are people in the higher ups who made it without abilities",he said and waited for her reply.

"Xander are you really sure about it, the place you speak of is very hard even for a high-level ability it will still be tough", she couldn't help but say it.

And Xander understood where she was coming from, even for a high live fire ability user like her self it wasn't easy. She use to tell him when he was younger, but he wasn't stopping until he got her permission.

"Mum I know that you are strong and that you can protect not only yourself but also me, and am proud of you for that. But I want to grow too I also want to be strong ,so I can protect myself as well as you I don't want to want to be a weak person.I want to grow stronger I want to improve myself, please I beg of you let me go" he said with pleading eyes.

And hearing all of this coming out of her sons mouth,this son of hers that was always downcast before, hearing him tell her that he wants to grow made him grow ,she couldn't help but feel happy.

Xander also had a warm fuzzy felling in him,because he wasn't sure that his mother was going to permit him to go to the Academy but now that he had her permission, he really was happy. He stood up from where he was and walked to give her a hug, "thank you mother" he whispered.
