Chapter 41

The week surprisingly went by normally as if that night at the fashion show never happened. Gene didn't press me for more information about that night. Neither did Momo and Cyrus.

We were all focused on the exams and studying. Eventually, the last exams came to an end.

Right after submitting our papers, Gene and I looked at each other happily.

"Now we can finally find out what happens to Ron!" I cheered.

"I hope he's not dead."

"Who is Ron?" Cyrus was confused.

"Oh, he's a game character," I replied.

"Look at them, brother dear. They're so happy with their videogames. I'm almost jealous." Momo was amused. "I'm going out first to make sure no creepy stalker by the name of Nathaniel is lurking at the gates."

Momo left the room.

Cyrus waved. "I have to make sure my sister doesn't get herself summoned to court for attempted homicide." He followed his sister out of the room.

"Let's go, Gene! We have to save Ron!" I rushed him excitedly.
