The Boy in a Blue Beanie

The hills sighed a mist cloud rolling down the green grass blurred blue. The boy knew November was blue, but his already blue view was shaded darker. He stared out to the tumbling clouds tinted to create an oceanic view. He sat there in the sea so lonely.

The breeze blew through the blue field, his ears tingled in the chill. He put on his blue beanie and stood, looking distantly into the dull cornflower sky. The crashing waves above his head. What was he thinking all alone? Not a soul watching him.

He whistled into the distant mist. Echoing through the field. Like a call, he heard a whistle return. Holding out his arm a rhythmic beating of the wind approached. A large blue bird almost invisible to the scenery flew through the air. The under belly a yellow. A macaw perched on his arm and the yellow reflected in his eyes. The bird majestically spread its wings and whistled once again.

The boy in the blue beanie smiled as he tickled its head.

The bright anomaly in the blue perched on his shoulder as they headed into the mist.
