The Force Family

Lilly spent about two to three days at the hospital. Not only that, she has been moving from the hospital to the office. Her father, Mr. Force was admitted to the Compromise Heaven hospital. For two years now, he has become a vegetable who has to be taken care of 24/7. Mr. Force was involved in an accident where his driver had collided with a bus. He was discharged from the hospital and was under the care of a nurse at home for almost two months but recently his illness has gotten worse has been admitted to the hospital for days now.

Lily raised her head from the side of the bed and looked at her father who was breathing softly in the hospital bed. She hasn't slept well for almost three days and one can tell with one look at her face. Her hair was quite unkept, her eyes were red with dark circles and she felt she needed a bath. She had left her five-year-old son with her mother. Lilly was a single mother since she has refuse to get married after her son's father broke up with her. She had just finished college when she got pregnant and even though her mother had persuaded her to come and live with them, she refused and stated she wanted a place of her own.

On the side of the bed, she had her documents placed next to her father's provisions. She was on her way to a meeting at the office when she was called to that her father's illness has gotten worse again. She had to leave her car in the traffic and walk for some munites to reach the hospital. She had also planned on giving the documents to one client whom she had arranged to meet at a restaurant near the hospital.

The Force Family was disturbed not to talk about the bill the eldest who decided to face the enemy who was trying to steal the father's company. He is the CEO whiles Liliy his little sister is the manager. He took over the rule of the company when he was called from the U.S. that his father was sick. As she crossed the road to the restaurant to deliver her documents to her clients, she nearly got knocked down by a car. The car blew its horn and fell out of shock causing all her files to scatter. She quickly got up to arrange her files when the owner of the car came down to see her.

" Oh my, I'm so sorry," she said as she gathered her files in one piece but the owner said nothing. She raised her head to take a look at the man, standing in front of her was his middle age man who stood there staring at her. He suddenly walked away into his car without saying anything. She came back to her senses only to realize that people were gathered watching the scene and some murmuring.

" That's Newton" they murmured among themselves. She wondered what to sue until it hit her that it was that famous billionaire who had decided to take over their company. Lilly had to run away from the middle of the road since his car just drove away harshly. Her phone beamed and she read the message after reaching for it from her handbag and walking briskly." Sorry Miss Force, I have another meeting and I had to go. See you another time perhaps" the message read.

" Oh shit!" She cussed realizing she has spent almost ten minutes gathering her scattered files. As she was about to put the phone in the bag, it rang again and it was the nurse. She was rushed to the hospital after receiving The nurse had said on the phone that her father was awake and was having some form of an attack as usual. He could shake vigorously sit up looking or try to say something. She had asked her mother you rest at home with the kids while she and her brother handle the issue. That is, her brother would be at the office and she would be at the hospital. She took a look at a wrist watch and it was 10:00 am. She had to go to the office urgently from the hospital. She had forgotten to hang some files over to her brother's secretary and this has been her life for days now. She asked the nurse to leave and drove to the office. After that, she decided to get some groceries for the house.

The grocery store was not the kind of grocery we know today, those were called " General stores" back in the day. That is the 1800s in California. However now in the 1990s, grocery stores are small, cramped, and sort of weird. But in the mid-century, supermarkets began booming and some of them were kind of fancy. The single creepy lightbulb hanging from the ceiling and the meticulous triangular displays of cans against the wall. One could hope the cashier didn't accidentally trip and fall over because that whole place looks questionable in terms of safety. Some were also housed inside someone's home like the 1938 Omaha, Nebraska grocery store was housed.

" How's your dad doing", her mother Tina asked.

" The doctor said he will get better soon," she said yawning.

" Oh my poor baby girl", she said

" It'sok mom, where's Diana, tell her to meet me at 41st street for some groceries, I have to rush back to the hospital", she said carrying some bags of groceries.

If you like crowded places, then you will probably enjoy the E 41st/ Hooper Ave neighborhood. This neighborhood is more densely populated than 95.8%of the miles living here. Even though the neighborhood is walkable, one has to drive or take a bus to get to work.

" Sure.. did you tell her? She has already left to meet " Tina answered.

" Yeah... I've forgotten I told her" she replied.

She kept walking for five minutes until she reached the only supermarket in Los Angeles at the corner of 41st street and Hooper Avenue. It is owned by Samuel H. Alexander. Inside the supermarket, she noticed a guy in a blue hoodie also shopping and he paid right after her. She left the supermarket and walked to the post office which was just three minute's walk from the supermarket. She noticed again that the same guy was walking behind her and she doubled her footsteps and he doubled his as well. She checked since again and this time around he was on his phone. She got to where she had planned to meet Diana and found out that the guy was nowhere to be found.

Around 8:10 pm, she was exhausted and decided to take a walk on the pavement next to the flowers deep in thought but somehow felt someone was watching her. She kept on turning her back and checking here and there but found no one. She gave up thinking since it seemed not to solve her problems. As she was walking inside the hospital, a figure slashed before her eyes. The figure was very swift.

Out of panic, she rushed inside the hospital and decided to visit the washroom. She had finished with her business and was washing her hands when the blue hoodie guy she had seen at the supermarket appeared behind her. A few seconds later, she couldn't breathe as a hand covered her nose with a handkerchief from behind. She struggled with the hand for a minute until everything become a blur and she fell into a deep sleep.

" Do you have her?" a deep voice asked from the other side of the phone.

" Yes I do" the blue hoodie guy replied with a frown thinking the guy sees him as incompetent.

" She's right beside me, sleeping like a baby," he said with pride.

" What's she wearing," the other one asked just to be sure it was Lilly.

"She's wearing a black leather jacket with shoulder pads and embroidered jeans," he said taking a look over her in the car seat fast asleep.

"Ok, you're on track" the deep voice assured him.

The blue hoodie guy ordered the driver to move and left the hospital, meanwhile, Mr. Force was awake having an attack and the nurses surrounded him.

" Call the doctor" the senior nurse ordered

" Where's Lilly!?" She asked looking at the faces of the others. Mr. Force kept on stretching his hand to the seat next to his bed.

" Go find her " she sent one of them running outside the hospital room.

" She will soon be here Mr. Force," she said making him lie down.

Newton stood by the pool holding a wine glass in his hand with his bodyguards behind him. He turned to one of them and asked him...

"They should be here by now," he said sipping some wine.
