The Path of Revenge: A Reborn Anti-Hero

Born into a noble family and endowed with tremendous power, exceptional talent, and unparalleled physical attractiveness, one might assume these qualities to be blessings. However, are they truly advantageous or rather a curse? Allen Frey, a young man destined to inherit the illustrious lineage of Duke Frey in the Kingdom of Eldoria, finds himself entangled in this very predicament. Given his extraordinary social standing and the multitude of advantages at his disposal, it seems inevitable that Allen will lead a prosperous life and ascend to greatness in due course. What if this perceived fortune is merely an intricate facade, perpetually deceiving him at every twist and turn? What if it's all an elaborate lie? A hero summoned from another world with the mission to vanquish the Demon Emperor ultimately becomes the perpetrator, stripping Allen of everything he holds dear—his fiancée, sister, power, strength, and all that he possessed. Does this constitute fate? Even the figure known as the "Hero" ultimately eradicated his very existence. Can this be considered justice? In the final moments of his life, he gazed upward at the serene sky, mustering every ounce of strength to reach out his trembling hand. "Oh, God! Are you truly so merciless as to shatter my life?" "Can... Can you grant me an opportunity to alter this cruel destiny?!" He cried out, his voice strained, tears streaming down his face, and gradually he closed his weary eyes. [Ding! Seven Hero Statues and the Things That Systems Can't Identify

"What is all this?" As Allen stood there, he muttered to himself, utterly perplexed by the enigmatic scene before him.

Completely speechless and overwhelmed, Allen marveled at the sight before him.

First, he had encountered a vast hall with towering pillars, and now this massive altar with its eight mysterious statues heightened the sense of intrigue.

"I can't help but wonder about the person who created this cave and placed the hall and altar here," Allen mused to himself as he cautiously walked deeper into the altar, his admiration growing.

Having been a wizard in his previous life, he had never come across anything as astonishing as this.

It was evident that the creator of all this must have been truly grand and remarkable.

As Allen stepped deeper into the altar, he carefully observed every detail, particularly the seven colossal statues encircling the main altar, where the exquisite crystal table stood.

The sheer size of the seven statues dwarfed Allen, making him feel tiny in comparison.

Slowly, he approached the center of the altar, where the seven statues stood with their heads bowed towards the middle.

"It's almost as if these seven statues are gazing at me, giving me goosebumps." Allen chuckled nervously and shook his head.

Indeed, the imposing presence of the seven statues was quite intimidating and unsettling.

Allen found himself more intrigued than fearful as he pondered the identity of the seven statues and the large one at the front of the altar.

"Three women and five men," Allen noted, turning his body to carefully observe each statue.

Unfortunately, any potential clues were elusive since the faces of the eight statues were badly damaged and weathered, leaving only their body parts.

"Who are these people, and what purpose do these eight large statues serve?" He murmured, his curiosity piqued, as he silently contemplated the mystery.

Suddenly, a realization struck him, and he corrected himself, "Wait! Four women and five men..." Allen held his chin, and his bright red eyes intently scrutinized each statue, as if afraid of overlooking any details that might provide answers to his questions.

Suddenly, his eyes widened in surprise, and he took a deep breath.

"Isn't this arrangement exactly the same as the painting in front of the cave door earlier?" The realization dawned upon him, and he finally remembered why he found these eight statues familiar.

Despite the damaged faces, Allen noticed the striking resemblance between the statues and the paintings at the cave door.

The similar arrangement of women and men in both the statues and the paintings confirmed his suspicions.

Allen's curiosity deepened, and he couldn't resist the urge to satisfy it by activating the judgment function.

"System function, appraisal," he whispered softly, and an information panel promptly appeared before his eyes.

[Explanation: Due to the object's highly mysterious nature, the current system is unable to provide further identification or details.]

Allen stared in disbelief at the information before him, witnessing for the first time such an occurrence in his system.

"It's truly remarkable that there are objects the system can't identify," he remarked, though still taken aback.

Nevertheless, he quickly composed himself and started to assess the situation more carefully.

Indeed, this new realization provided Allen with a fresh perspective.

He came to realize that not everything was within the system's ability to identify, or perhaps the object he encountered was genuinely so enigmatic that it revealed a vulnerability in the system he once believed to be all-powerful.

However, he knew that this limitation in the system's functionality might be due to its current state of being asleep.

If one day the system were to wake up and become active again, such limitations might no longer exist.

With that thought, he cleared his mind of distractions and focused on reading the name of the information object, which left him even more astonished.

"Seven Heroes..." His eyes remained fixated on the statues as he took a deep breath.

His memory carried him back to his previous life, where he had faced off against one of the seven heroes and ultimately met his demise due to the betrayal of his loved ones.

Seeing these seven statues once more, he felt a sense of unease and sorrow within him, even unconsciously.

"By the way, what generation do these seven hero statues belong to?" Allen's mind continued to race, and he surmised that these statues must be from a very distant past.

They appeared so ancient that he couldn't even ascertain which generation they hailed from.

"If these are the seven hero statues, then who is the eighth statue?" He shifted his gaze to the statue of a man adorned in imperial robes with short hair.

The man's stance, pointing toward the seven hero statues, exuded a sense of authority, and Allen couldn't help but feel both distant and familiar with this figure.

"System function, appraisal," he whispered softly, and the information panel reappeared before his eyes.

The displayed information left Allen feeling slightly frustrated, yet he understood that among the eight statues, the eighth one must be the most mysterious and elusive in terms of its origin.

"What a pity..." He shook his head and let out a small sigh.

However, he didn't dwell on it for long and shifted his attention to the palm-sized crystal ball resting on the diamond table, intricately carved with exquisite symbols and patterns.

The crystal ball emitted a stunningly beautiful blue light, leaving Allen intrigued by its enigmatic nature.

"Perhaps, among all the objects on this altar, this must be the most important, and it could be the source of the lake's unusual effects," Allen mused as he gazed at the brightly lit crystal ball, slowly moving closer to examine it further.
