(1001 A.D.)
(Erik POV)
After feeding and coming back to myself. I looked at my siblings, seeing they all have black veins, slithering under their eyes, that are blood red. Their top two k9 teeth have lengthened, looking deadly sharp. Instinctively I know I looked the same.
I look away from my siblings to Mikael and ask.
"What now father? I would rather not lose myself to this... this Bloodlust that I felt. You and Mother decided to curse us, so how are you going to help us get control Father? Mother?"
Looking from Mikael to Esther, who says.
"This is not a curse my sweet children. It is a protection, from everything that could harm you in this vast world... Your father and I already lost one child. Before most of you were born, now we have lost our youngest.... I will not lose more."
Unexpectedly it is Finn, that yells.
"YOU KILLED US... STRIPPED THE MAGIC FROM KOL'S AND MY OWN SOULS... AND... And you call it protection?"
Kol speaks next. Speaking in an almost hollow voice.
"He is right. I can't feel it, I'm... I'm empty now."
Rebekah hugged Kol while Finn was comforted by Elijah, who says.
"How is this a form of protection?"
Mikael said.
"After we finished setting up your... Your brother's funeral. I took Esther to Ayana, we asked her if she could bring him back... She refused... Then we asked if she could protect the rest of you from a similar fate as our oldest and youngest did... Something that would make you all immune to diseases. Stronger and faster than any werewolf. Where they bite, we bite harder. You are all ageless now."
I ask them as calmly as I can while rubbing my throat. Not expecting the bloodlust to be this bad.
"So, you turn yourself and your children into monsters? Worse than werewolves? What about control we all need to learn it?"
They both look guilty but don't say anything more. we followed Mikael to the front door when he spoke again.
"Use your ears, what can you all hear out there?"
I close my eyes, tilting my head towards the door. A few seconds later, I can hear the heartbeats of the entire village. Almost to a pinpoint accuracy. I look to my siblings, seeing they can all hear the same thing, by the look on their faces.
Just then Rebekah, losing control over her bloodlust, tries to exit our home. Only to come into contact with the afternoon sun. She instantly burns, and seconds later her hand catches fire. Before Rebekah rushed back inside with a scream of pain, Kol muttered.
"Some protection you gave us."
While I was holding Rebekah, watching her hand quickly heal.
The next few days Mother, Finn, Kol, and I were creating a daylight ring. That is actually based off of a moonlight ring that Esther gave to her lover Ansel. That is in turn based off of a talisman for a witch, that stores their magic into it. But after days of looking, we have successfully completed all 7 of the rings. With lapis lazuli gemstones inside them. Compared to the enchanted black kyanite stones inside the moonlight rings. Each one has the Viking rune, for the Mikaelson Crest.
After that, we learned that instinctively, our fellow villagers knew we weren't the same. While yes, we were nobles of the village, with our father being the owner of the whole land the village is on. So effectively the Chieftain, or Jarl, and we always walked with an air of confidence. Now we almost glide across the ground. Our looks have become even more beautiful. I think it scared them all, even heard a few whisperings about the use of dark magic. I mean they aren't wrong, but they aren't entirely right.
My siblings learned that we can't enter the homes of those who were friends of theirs. While I went to the white oak tree, a huge white tree that is surrounded by vervain, I pick some up before grunting in pain while dropping it.
"Stupid Erik that... that was stupid."
I grab a cloth and put some of the vervain in it, covering it back up, then grab a white oak branch, before I return to my room. Hiding the branch in my belongings, that I have already packed, and is just waiting for everything to happen. Putting some of the vervain inside a bracelet, that is made out of silver from the caves, and white oak that was carved in the Mikaelson clans' symbol in the center. And in the center of that is a lapis lazuli gemstone, for if Tatia decides to become a vampire. By the time I am done, it is the most beautiful thing I have seen. Perfect for Tatia. I exit the hovel, seeing it is nighttime, and I see that my siblings have already lost control.
"Damnit, I thought I had more time till they all went psycho and started a murder spree."
I speed through the village and see my siblings, and even Mikael, slaughtering fellow villagers who didn't run inside their homes. The only ones I don't see are Elijah and Mother. Thinking quickly, I search for Tatia, remembering her fate in the show. I feel true fear for not only her but what will happen when I see it. Doubling my speed, I am in the little cleaning that me and Tatia woke up in just days ago. When life changed so much, I don't see anything at first, but then I hear a scream of pain and pleadings of.
"Please... Please stop. Elijah... It's me... It's Tatia... Please... I'm... I'm pregnant."
That towards the end, was barely a whisper. When I reach there, I see Elijah covered head to toe in blood. On top of Tatia whose coat was ripped off. Her left shoulder strap was torn exposing her neck, and part of her chest.
Elijah was drinking from her neck, deeply with no regard for the pain it caused. I screamed in an inhuman voice.
"NOOOO!!!"
I speed next to him, ripping him off of Tatia, inadvertently ripping out part of her throat. I kneeled down next to her, bringing her to my chest while sobbing. Hearing Elijah crash against one of the trees. Tatia, gurgling on her own blood, raised her hand and swiped it over my face. Leaving a bloody handprint, that slides down my face, as she whispered.
"I... will... love... you in this... life and... the next... m-my love."
Just as her hand dropped, I sense an unknown power, before my whole body feels like it has been set on fire. All I can do is scream into the air, as my eyes go to a golden yellow, with black veins slithering up my bottom eyelids.
"AAGGGHHHH."
