Chapter 47: World Dragon

Philip immediately placed his hand on the giant Runestone and began to scanning. Erica and the others distances themselves away next to the Stonehenge, which is a few hundred meters away from Philip.

[Scanning...]

Philip closed his eyes and concentrated to see what kind of dragon would show up this time.

A few seconds later, there was no reaction at all. There was no silhoutte of a dragon that showed while he is scanning the giant Runestone.

Because of this, the other three dragons didn't react or showed themselves.

It was too quick! Way too quick. Philip decided to still hold on to the giant Runestone and see if there is a reaction.

"Is it just this?"

Philip then decided to pull out his hand. Then, as soon as he pulled it out, he heard a sound that is close to a growl and the pressure of the growl is immense.

Its front teeth were covered by what it seem to be its mouth but the fangs and teeth at the side are not covered revealing the sharp fangs in its full glory. The side of its face extended outwards until it formed a total of 8 horns that protruded outwards behind his head in a symmetrical pattern. What looked majestic on seeing the dragon is its elegantly flowing white hair that defied gravity.

Philip then felt a thump on the ground. He looked to his right and saw the hand of the dragon. His eyes bulged out as he saw this. The hand is extremely big and covered several kilometers across. He also looked yo his left and saw the right hand of the dragon. He looked again up at the giant head of the dragon at the sky as its body covered half of the horizon.

「 World Realm, World Dragon. 」

「 World Dragon. The dragon that is responsible for providing balance among other things. Be careful of this dragon, Philip. This dragon is extremely powerful. 」

Philip lifted an eyebrow at Emily's warning. It was rare for Emily to give him a warning because of his power. Seems like it was different this time. Philip then asked a question.

"Emily, what is that thing's size?"

"Emily??"

Philip was genuinely shocked, its size is more than half the distance of Earth to moon. That's why its head is so big in the sky, as well as its hands.

Back on Earth's surface, Philip was taken aback when the World Dragon looked down on him as if it was scanning him. He was hesitating whether to defeat this dragon because of its size, but the rewards are worth it. He became excited as having this giant dragon as his pet companion.

Suddenly, he had an epiphany. If its size is big, then, he could 「 Enlarge 」 himself just like what he did when he stomped on the Breaker Dragon.

Before he could do that, the World Dragon showed signs and growled.

*KRRRRRR*

[Dragon Language was activated]

"May I know your name, mortal?"

Philip was surprised, this dragon was the first time it asked for his name. Since the dragon asked nicely, he gladly replied.

"My name is Philip."

"Philip... I see..." The World Dragon closed its eyes in contemplation.

Then the unexpected happened.

The World Dragon lowered its head towards Philip while closing its eyes. It also tilted its forehead forward. Then, the dragon said,

"I, World Dragon of the Abyssal Dragons, in the name of Zarama. I humbly offer myself to be a servant of Philip, the holder of Omega, the one chosen by fate. I vow to serve him until I die, he die, or he disposes of me."

Erica and the others, who were cowering in fear earlier from the the sight of the extremely giant dragon in the sky, was stunned when they heard it just made a vow to serve Philip.

Philip on the other hand, was also stunned. Why did it suddenly vow to becomw his servant? What did it saw?

Then, a light shone on the World Dragon's forehead and it shone brighter and brighter until in enveloped the whole world.

When the light died down, the World Dragon disappeared into light particles signifying that it was taken by the 「 Summon Pet Companion 」 ability. The World Realm also disappeared and the color of the world returned back to normal.

"What just happened..."

「 Well, congrats! You just defeated the World Dragon! Teehee. 」

The encounter was anticlimactic, he was looking forward for a fight and he wanted to try using 『 Sword Pandora's Box 』. Nonetheless, he just sighed and looked around for a reward.

He looked up, only to see four shining spheres that were hovering down towards him and revolving around each other. He held out both of his hands and opened his palm. The shining spheres were preparing to land on his palms.

Philip heard Emily making an extreme shocked expression.

"Emily? What's wrong?" Before Emily could answer, the four shining spheres landed on his palms and exploded into a bright light. He closed his eyes for the first time because of the intesity of the light.

When he opened his eyes, he was met with a world full if yellow and exploding air or probably particles around him. It also seemed like he was floating. Then, the system echoed in his head.
