Chapter 46: Sword Pandora's Box

"Huh?! What?!" Philip was confused about the name of the ability. He also had a bad feeling about it.

After the string of display from the system, the Excalibur and Durandal that was hovering in front of Philip started to move. The first was Durandal as it hovered closer to Philip's stomach, then it disappeared. The Excalibur also hovered in front of his stomach and also disappeared.

Then, Philip felt a pit in his stomach as he felt his stomach became empty.

He clutched his stomach and knelt down and hunched his back until his head touched the floor. The feeling was not painful but he felt like he lost control over his body and his body shut down.

Philip tried to move and called to Emily or the system but he could not. He also can't open his mouth nor move his retinas. It was like he have up on life and waited for himself to rot.

He was in this state of being for roughly 10 minutes but to him, it was like thousands of years, literally. He tried to use everything, he even tried to strengthen his mind to the utmost limit but to no avail. He was extremely angry at that point but the 5th gate didn't even open. He even tried to use Overload using his mind but it was no use. He felt like he was truly dead.

But then, after a few seconds, purple light exploded from Philip's stomach. The light covered the entirety of thr cave and traveled along the cave tunnel until Erica and the others can faintly see a purple light emanating from the cave.

Despite Philip also not being able to breathe for 10 minutes, he exhaled a lot of air from his lungs until he coughed out blood. He then inhaled to compensate the lost air from his lungs. By then, the purple light has already dimmed into his stomach and Philip was sitting on the ground while clutching his head and breathing heavily.

"Huff... I knew it... I had a feeling because of that special display. Emily, are you there?"

「 Yes, Philip. Congrats on obtaining the Sword Pandora's Box hehe! 」

"What is that by the way?"

「 Look at your stomach. 」

"Hm? Whoa!"

As soon as Philip looked down into his stomach, he can see a golden coloring around his stomach. The golden coloring almost looked like an orb that shone due to light. Two ivory spike covered the golden orb on its sides revealing only the top of the orb.

"What's this?!"

「 That's the Sword Pandora's Box. You can pull any sword inside there and it differs everytime you pull. 」

"So, it's random?"

「 Most likely. Look! The element swords are itching to go out of your Hotbar. 」

"Oh yeah. Let them out."

The Ylium Sword, Willium Sword, and Kurtnium sword appeared in front of Philip as they hovered. The Agium Sword that was inside of Philip also made an appearance to which Philip became surprised.

"Hm? What's this?"

「 This is the Agium Sword that I nurtured to become sharp. 」

"Really now? It did became sharper from the looks of it."

「 Yup, it was also because it absorbed the violet lightning in the lightning tribulaton whe you were unconscious. Because of that, it is now two steps behind into achieving its Infinite Sharpness. 」

"Ho? What the next step?"

「 That's a secret! Teehee! 」

Then the element swords went inside the golden orb on his stomach one by one and disappeared into his stomach.

"What now?"

「 They are stored in there. You wanna try it out? 」

"Can I?"

「 Of course! There's no repercussions whatsoever. It will only depend on what sword you'll pull out. You may even pull out a sword that can kill gods or a sword that can kill you once you touch it. 」

Philip became silent because of Emily's examples. He wanted to pull out at least one and immediately put it back in. He weighted the pros and cons. Mainly, he wanted to do it due to him just wanting and trying it.

In the end, he decided to pull out a sword.

He placed his right hand on his stomach, above the golden orb, into a gripping gesture and he began to pull slowly. Purple light enveloped his hand and formed a sword as he pulled farther.

Philip motioned the sword covered in purple light upright. Then the purple light disappeared revealing a sword that is triangular in shape and the guard is rounded that connected to the blade. The grip is rough in texture and it had no pommel. The blade is decorated with red circles, brown ovals, flesh colored rectangles, black smaller circles, and smaller yellow rectangles. The surface of the sword is also colored yellow while the guard is golden brown.

"What the..."

[Pizza Sword]

「 You pulled out a Pizza Sword! Hahahahahaha! 」

Emily laughed at the sword the Philip pulled out. Of all the swords that he can pull out, one of the most ridiculous ones is the one he pulled out.

"Interesting... What is its properties?"

「 Hahaha!! Well... You can eat it and it will regenerate itself. Basically an infinite supply of pizza. The edge is also sharp but it will lose its sharpness if you bite into it. 」

"That's awesome!"

Nonetheless, Philip was still amazed by the Pizza Sword. Emily is still laughing in the background.

A few minutes later, Philip went ahead and walked out of the cave. He already placed the Pizza Sword earlier after tasting it. The taste was something he never ever tasted before and he kept eating it until he felt he was full.

Philip arrived to where Erica and the others are waiting and they met Philip.

"How is it?" Smith asked first.

"Well, I also found and got Durandal inside there." Philip answered.

All of them jaw dropped when Philip dropped a bombshell. They also couldn't believe that Durandal exists and this person in front of them just obtained it.

"Well, where is the Excalibur and Durandal?" Smith asked again as he is the most knowledgeable in the crowd about weapons.

"They're inside me, I can pull them whenever I want." Philip twisted his words a little bit so he would not reveal the Sword Pandora's Box.

All of them sighed as they already know how absurd Philip's luck or power is. They swear to themselves that they wouldn't be surprised anymore about Philip's odd achievements in the future.

"Shall we return to our journey?" Philip asked as he pointed at the giant Runestone to his right with his right thumb.

All of them nodded.

Before they could fly up, something caught their eyes as that something fell in front of them. All of them looked down on the ground and what they saw made them unconsciously step backwards, except for Philip. He squinted his eyes at the object for a few seconds.

What they saw was a golden cup, a goblet, glowing as it formed a small crater as it crashed on the ground.

"This is dangerous." Philip muttered. The golden cup glowed brighter as the time ticked by.

「 Philip! Destroy that goblet, now! 」

Philip immediately placed his hand on his stomach and pulled out a sword. The purple light immediately disappeared and formed sword.

The sword revealed itself as a dark, pitch black blade that the outlines of the blade was scattering about along the pitch black color. As if the sword is defying reality and transcending the 3rd dimension.

[4D Sword: Excalibur: Origin]

Philip ignored the name of the sword and immediately stroke the golden cup. He infused the sword with Sword Concept as well as Sword Intent.

"Sword Concept: Strike: Waterfall!"

His arm and the sword blurred for a split second and returned to his previous stance. There was a loud clang as the sword stroke the golden cup for a split second, but that was enough.

The glow on the golden cup dimmed before the part of the mouth of the cup was chipped away. The cup was not smashed or sliced into two despite having a special sword and infusing it with sword concept.

Philip looked at the pitch black sword in his hand after looking at the golden cup. The white outlines of the sword that shaped the sword was violently shaking and teetering about everywhere on the figure of the sword. The sword gave the illusion that it was just a doodle from whichever angle you view it because of the shaking white outlines.

The sword is a 4-dimensional sword and this is the reason why the white outlines of the sword were scattering about. He didn't know why it is called Excalibur though, and why it had a variant of Origin.

Erica approached Philip as Philip placed the pitch black sword back into his stomach.

"Is this what I think it is?" Erica was about to pick up the golden cup but Philip shouted at her.

"Stop!!!" Erica was startled as he jumped back.

Smith however was silent all this time, not because of the presence of the golden cup in front of them, but the pitch black sword that Philip was weilding earlier.

"This cup is dangerous, you shouldn't touch it. As for what it is, I'm not going to tell you." Philip kneeled down and hovered his hand above the golden cup. The cup then disappeared and went into his inventory.

To Erica and the others, what they witnessed made them gasped. The golden cup suddenly disappeared in their eyes. They don't know how because they don't know Philip has a system.

"Now, let's go!" Philip then immediately flew up to be followed by Charles.

The others were then super curious at what that golden cup is but shrugged it away. They then followed behind Charles and flew towards the giant Runestone to the west.

As Philip was flying, he has a fierce glint in his eyes as he looked at the name of the golden cup he just picked up.

[Chipped Holy Corrupted Grail]

Behind the scenes, Emily is already using Philip's variable of Heaven to douse the Holy Corrupted Grail to purify it and remove its corrupted status. She is also hesitating to use the variable of Hell to hasten the removal the corrupted status.

Philip then increased his speed towards the giant Runestone. He is quite irritated right now.

[9 Gates of Wrath: 1st gate opened]

Charles could only wrap the other three with his lightning so they could catch up to them.

A few minutes later, they arrived in front of the giant Runestone.
