CHAPTER 26

It was lunchtime and Yoo Na found a secluded place where In Ra and her minions wouldn't find her. She crouched at the corner of the school near the field but it'd be hard to find her even if they searched the whole school. She studied with so much focus since it helped to take her mind off Bae Ra because since she died, she couldn't stop thinking about her and it became worse since she was obsessed with killing the culprit with her two hands.

Yoo Na was fully engrossed with her books that she didn't realize someone was hovering above her until the person patted her shoulder lightly. Yoo Na abruptly looked up to meet the smiling face of Jisoo.

"Hello, are you busy?" Jisoo asked with a small cheerful voice. Yoo Na noticed how her personality was alike to Bae Ra's and how cheerful and nice she was even when the world was been cruel and unforgiving to her.

"Did you follow me?" Yoo Na asked immediately with an expressionless face.

"Yes, I just wanted to tell you how grateful I am for standing up for me. I'll never forget what you did for me." Jisoo said with a grateful expression on her face as she bowed deeply and Yoo Na wondered why she was been that thankful.

"I helped you out, not because I wanted to be your friend but because you looked so weak." Yoo Na said coldly and diverted her gaze back to her books trying to ignore her as much as possible. No matter how much she was like Bae Ra, she wasn't her and she could never take her place in her heart. Moreover, she couldn't risk being distracted by the girl who like Bae Ra, reminded her of the light in the world full of darkness but then, that light Bae Ra had showed her died with her and she could never see the light in the dark world again so long as the image of her friend's corpse would never erase from her mind and the horrible way the universe had turned against her even as innocent and kind as she was and one painful lesson she had learnt from her death, was that there was no such thing as karma because her friend had never wronged a soul yet she was given such a horrible punishment.

"We should look out for each other since we're the only outcasts in our class." Jisoo said with a small smile ignoring Yoo Na's cold attitude towards her.

"What on earth do you think happens when two outcasts hang out?" Yoo Na asked with a hard look at the frail girl who looked like she was about to get blown away by the wind.

"What?" Jisoo was obviously saddened by her words but she knew Yoo Na was right.

"They become bigger losers." Yoo Na pointed out firmly and the girl's mouth was pressed in a thin line.

"I just wanted to look out for you the way you looked out for me." Jisoo said with sad eyes which almost broke Yoo Na's defences but she immediately hardened them.

"Why would you do that when you don't even know me?" She asked rhetorically.

"I know you're not a bad person." Jisoo said with bright eyes.

"Even if I kill someone?" Yoo Na asked with dark eyes and Jisoo fluttered her eyelashes uncontrollably wondering if it was a joke or not.

"I wouldn't judge you if you did, you probably had your reasons." Jisoo said and Yoo Na looked away from her for a moment, she was acting too alike to Bae Ra, searching for the light in even the thickest of darkness and weirdly, with Jisoo around she felt even more motivated to take out the culprit since she reminded her too much of Bae Ra.

"I haven't yet...But I'm going to soon." Yoo Na stated with a dark expression as she stared into space and Jisoo could see the heavy amount of pain and anger in her eyes. Jisoo crouched beside her.

"I know it doesn't seem like a big deal to you but you were the first person to stand up for me, something even my parents couldn't do because they were afraid of the rich people so whatever you want me to help you with, I'm ready to help you with anything." She heard Jisoo say with eyes full of sincerity as she stared at her.

"Why?" Yoo Na asked wondering if she was foolishly brave or just brave.

"I just have a feeling that whoever you want to kill took something extremely precious to you, so I don't think I can stand by without helping you. Just think of it as a payback since you did something extremely brave for me." Jisoo said with a small smile and Yoo Na just stared at her for a moment in silence. She didn't think she had it in her to use someone for her selfish advantage but she was already consumed with so much hate, pain, anger and guilt that she couldn't seem to think of anyone else but killing the culprit.

"Are you sure you're ready to go down this road with me? It's a road full of nothing but vengeance and blood so do you still want to do this?" Yoo Na asked. Since she was using her, she'd at least give her one last chance to back out but the girl shook her head vigorously standing firm on her decision to stay by her side.

"I'll do whatever you tell me to but can you tell me what happened?" Jisoo asked with curiosity but the bell rang which indicated that lunch was over, so they had to get back to class.

"I'll tell you when I'm ready." Yoo Na said as she got up to leave. She wasn't ready to talk about it with her yet, she wasn't even sure she could bring herself to talk about it anymore but Jisoo understood and didn't say anymore as they both walked to class.

.....

In Ra stomped into her room angrily after getting back from school. She couldn't bear the heavy embarrassment Cha Eun and Yoo Na made her feel, especially Yoo Na who was already on her black list, no! hit list, since she wanted nothing more than to see her dead.

She looked back at her reflection in the mirror and she almost cried, knowing truly that Yoo Na was way more prettier than her, she even had a model like body and she was tall too. Jealousy and anger overwhelmed her in great heights as she took a glass perfume on the table and violently threw it towards the glass, making it shatter in pieces as she screamed angrily.

"That bitch isn't prettier than me!" She yelled as she yanked at her short hair in anger. Her mother cane rushing into her room after hearing the breaking glass and her screams in worry.

"What's wrong love?" Her mother asked in a worried tone as she looked at the broken shards of glass on the floor.

"I...I want a plastic..." She trailed off thoughtfully. She had thought of getting a plastic surgery but now that she thought about it, if she did it would prove the fact to everyone that Yoo Na was indeed right that she was jealous of her beauty which she would never accept, so what could she possibly do?

"You want a plastic surgery?" Her mother asked, ready to do whatever her daughter wanted just to please her.

"No!" In Ra replied hastily.

"Then what's making you so upset dear?" Her mother asked but she just got more upset. Her anger issues were too much but she didn't care at all, she let it out on whoever was present without caring if the person got hurt or not.

"Aisshh Fuck! Just get out!" She yelled in anger and frustration as she thought of how she could outshine Yoo Na and her mother hurriedly gave her some space to prevent angering her more. She rolled her eyes in anger thinking of what she could possibly do to hurt Yoo Na's ego until her eyes landed on the broken shards of glass scattered on the floor and a wicked smile crept to her face.
