"Hey there!" Jessica bounded into the cozy room with an infectious grin plastered on her face.
What a noisy woman, I thought to myself as I took in my surroundings.
The room wasn't overly spacious, resembling more of a quaint living area with three sofas and a couple of armchairs arranged neatly. The walls wore a drab coat of gray paint, and tucked away in one corner was a small kitchenette, equipped for brewing up a quick cup of tea or coffee.
Besides Jessica and me, there were two other occupants in the room.
One was a man with rich brown skin and hair styled into numerous locks tied back behind his head. Tattoos adorned his arms, and he sported a pair of sleek golden-rimmed glasses. He was engrossed in rapid typing on his computer, his legs stretched out comfortably before him.
"And this charming fellow is Jamal! Feel free to call him Jaimie," Jessica introduced with a mischievous grin.
