Chapter 52. Compassion For Humans

* Ashley *

"Good morning your majesty!"

The Palace maids greeted us in the hallway as we head to the private office of the Alpha King. His father has something to discuss with him is what he told me so after we finished having breakfast, he encouraged me to go with him.

He replied to the Palace servants with just a brief nod, and his mood changed. I could feel it while he holds my hand and we walk side by side. I wonder what would be the Alpha King's purpose in calling him out this morning. I was hesitant to come but he insisted.

"We're here."

He pauses before knocking on the huge wooden doors that are tightly shut. I could hear movements from the inside and then the door in front of us opens. The palace helped bow his head and left, closing the door behind him and giving us enough privacy.

"Good morning father."
