When the wolf Cale had defeated was under the rubble, the beast approached the wolf. The beast bit the wolf's head and pulled it out from under the rubble. Then it began to eat the wolf.
The appearance of the beast was unusual. Even though it was a human-like creature, it stood on all fours. The long claws on its feet looked as sharp as swords.
Its head was elliptical and long. It had long pointed ears and sharp teeth. Its skin was red, as if it had been skinned, and there was pus on it. Instead of a nose, it had two small holes, but no eyes.
As Cale looked at the monster, he didn't think he had read anything like this in the novel. Not every monster was named or described in the novel.
It was as if the main character's love life led to the monsters!
Cale had barely escaped the big wolf. Now he didn't know how to fight this monster that he didn't even know was weak.
He had hoped to hold out until the hunters arrived, but the pressure emanating from this beast made him think that it was not an E rank monster.
Cale took a step backwards and a hand touched his shoulder. Cale was so focused on the beast that he was about to speak, startled by the touch, when a soft hand covered his mouth.
A pretty girl with auburn hair down to her waist and green eyes put her index finger to her lips and looked at him. Cale frowned and was about to speak when she quickly shook her head from side to side. Then she took her cell phone out of her pocket, typed something and showed it to Cale.
- The Caecus monster is a grade D creature sensitive to sounds. I don't know what it's doing in the E dungeon explosion, but try to make as little noise as possible when it moves.
Cale nodded. He took the phone from her hand, typed something on it and handed it to her.
- Does it have any weaknesses?
- Weaknesses against fire, but you're not a fire mage, are you?
Cale read what she wrote and shook his head from side to side in distress. Cale asked what came to his mind.
- Do you have a weapon?
At Cale's question, the girl opened her hand to reveal golden threads in her palm and her dagger.
- I use a dagger.
Cale weighed his plan and then told the girl what he had in mind. The girl agreed after hearing what Cale said.
Cale coughed up blood, but now that he felt better, he reactivated his ability. When he raised his hand in the air, things around him began to levitate.
The flying rubble lost its original shape and became sharp spears. When Caecus raised his head at the sound of the beast, Cale sent the spears into the air.
Dozens of spears flew at the monster like arrows as the young girl moved behind the monster and used the twine in her hand to bind the monster's limbs.
Cale distracted the beast with his noises and the young girl's strings slowly wrapped around its legs and arms.
The monster screamed in pain as the spears pierced its body and tried to run away, but the twine wrapped around its legs made it lose its balance and it fell to the ground.
It screamed once more and tried to use its arms, but the young girl pulled the strings to herself, causing the monster to tie its arms behind its back.
While the young girl rejoiced early on that they had defeated a level D monster, Cale seemed disturbed that it had been so easy. Indeed, he was not mistaken in his feelings.
With a great roar, the beast tore the strings from its arms and legs and stood up. Its red skin glowed as vapors began to escape from its body. Then the red skin cracked and lava came out of it and the monster doubled in size.
The monster swung its tail as if it knew where its captor was. The young girl was thrown backwards by the barbed tail hitting her in the stomach and crashed into the building behind.
The young girl wiped the blood from her mouth with the back of her hand and stood up. Two shiny silver daggers appeared in her hand and she quickly attacked the monster.
Although she managed to damage the monster with quick and sharp moves, unfortunately, the situation was bad for the young girl. Because the monster managed to damage her in the same way.
Cale thought about what to do with the monster that kept advancing on the young girl. It was not strong. Even though he was wounded, he was weaker than the young girl who attacked in the same way.
Even if he used his ability, it was a burden on his body because his stats were not good. He could not use mana and did not know how to use his aura. Cale knew he had to hurry. So he decided to use the only thing he had.
Without removing the purple earring from his ear, Cale closed his eyes and began to feel the chaos energy inside him. Although he didn't know how, he instinctively circulated the chaos energy in his body through the mana meridians.
The black crescent moon on Cale's forehead began to glow. He opened his eyes as black energy rippled and spread around him, covering his entire body. Seeing that the young girl was exhausted from her fight with the beast, he ran quickly and made a fist and struck the beast.
When the monster was stunned, Cale raised his hand and the spears lying on the ground flew up and towards the monster. The spears flew at him quickly, not in one direction but all over his body.
The beast was stunned, not expecting this move, and the spears pierced its body. The monster finally fell to the ground as the last one pierced its head.
The inverted crescent moon on Cale's forehead faded as the black energy surrounding his body disappeared. He looked at his trembling right hand and saw black veins protruding from it.
Cale staggered in place, blood coming from his mouth. The last thing he saw before he fell to the ground and his eyes closed was the girl running to him.

When the dungeon explosion occurred, ten E-level monsters appeared, panicking the city's inhabitants. Since the exact time and place of the dungeon's appearance was never fully determined, buildings that had been reinforced against the damage served as shelters.
Soon E and D level hunters arrived on the scene and were soon dealing with the monsters. But what they didn't know was that there was an E-level monster elsewhere and a D-level monster that no one had even considered.
When the hunters arrived at Cale's location after taking care of the monsters with the information they received from the Union headquarters, all they saw was a mess and the person lying in the middle of the mess was Hope Duncan, the daughter of the Duncan family, one of the eleven elite families.
The hunters knew how smart and talented Hope Duncan was, so they assumed she had defeated the E-level wolf and the D-level Caecus monster.
When they came to Hope Duncan and saw a red-haired young man lying bleeding on the ground, they thought she had been injured trying to save him. However, the distraught state of the young girl prevented them from asking any questions and they took them both to the hospital.
Hearing about the incident, the elite families and extended families were nervous and cautious knowing that the Duncan girl had such a gift. However, their judgment was not only changed by the video that hit social media in the evening, but they also mobilized all their resources to find out who it was that had caught the attention of the public.
Elite families, sub-families, the Union, media outlets were vying with each other to find out who this red-haired young man they had never even heard of before was.
The videos showed Cale taking on two E and D level monsters without a weapon and everyone was mesmerized. While the public admired him, some of the elite families were uncomfortable with this anonymous person who was a rival to their children.
The Union, on the other hand, was attracted to this new name, as it had recruited successful hunters thanks to its position on par with the elite families.
Douglas Reagon, sitting at his desk, was one of them. He was the most powerful SSS level hunter with a seat in the Council. He stood in his study, puffing on a lit pipe as he watched the cityscape through the window. Even though he had lived for nearly a hundred years, his twenty-five-year-old appearance was still striking.
He was a very handsome man with blond hair and golden eyes. His golden dragon eyes, the symbol of the Reagon family, always mesmerized those who saw them. His pupils were vertical instead of round and his bright yellow eyes made people call them golden dragons.
There was a knock at the door and David came in to present his report to the man looking out the window.
"Sir, I have the information about the young man in the video," he said, and Douglas waved his hand without turning around.
"Go ahead."
"Cale Rayne will turn sixteen on November 17th. There is no information about his family, but he has been working in the Green Claw Guild's monster slaughter factory in Deshmar since he was eleven. He was one of the many workers who left the day after Edward Xavier died."
"Oh, is that so? I wonder why such a talent would work in monster filth," Douglas muttered nonchalantly.
"About that..." the man hesitated and Douglas turned to look at him. "Sir, there is something else I want to tell you. On the day of the incident, he had his rank measured at the player's center and it was recorded as G." Douglas's hand, which was holding the pipe to his mouth, paused.
"G rank?"
"Yes, sir. It seems he was either hiding his powers or his rank was measured incorrectly."
"Understood, you may leave," David said and left the room, leaving his master in thought.
"In just a few hours you have captured everyone's attention, Cale Rayne. I wonder what the future holds for you," Douglas said as he continued to watch the shining city.
