"Good decision," Cale said, putting down his teacup.
He raised his hand, palm up, and a black energy rose upwards. A black glowing scroll formed in his hand.
"Then let's make a new deal."
"Didn't we already have one?" asked Bernard.
"That was a short-term contract covering the dungeon. This is a more comprehensive one that prevents us from betraying each other."
"All right," Bernard sighed, taking the contract from his hand, reading it and signing it.
When Cale had finished, he took a USB memory stick out of the inside pocket of his jacket. He pushed it across the table and handed it to Bernard.
"What is this?"
Bernard looked at him with a startled expression when he said, "It's evidence of the corruption and the drugs made by the Deus Pharmaceutical Company with chaos energy."
"Drugs made from chaos energy?"
"Yes, the people who run the Deus Pharmaceutical Company sell chaos energy to other races to control them."
