The Delivery

"Boss, what the hell is that on your neck?"

A bald, muscular guy named Lee Seol narrowed his eyes trying to identify the mysterious purple spot on the left side of Min Hyun's neck. A dozen pairs of eyes simultaneously focused their attention on him, while Ji Seon who was putting on his black boxing gloves leaned closer to Min Hyun and almost gasped,

"Hyung, is that a hickey? It looks like you've been bitten by a freaking vampire!"

Min Hyun hit the guy on the head with a boxing pad and made an annoyed grimace, and the other guys that were in the training room with them started laughing. He did not care if Miss Yoon's "branding" was seen by others, if anything, he was even proud to wear it, but he also did not want to explain himself, and his irritated expression was proving it, therefore, rubbing the painful spot left by Min Hyun's hit and sulking like a scolded puppy, Ji Seon retreated and left his friend be.

The purple, still-sore spot on the side of his neck was the last thing left from vigorous lovemaking with Se Ah that was still decorating his skin. Only when it came to Miss Yoon's marks did he hate his body's ability to quickly recover from damage, he hated it so much that sometimes he resorted to pinching and bruising those marks afterwards in an effort to make them stay longer. Hell, he wouldn't mind if they stayed with him forever.

"Hyung, you're getting a phone call!"

Another one of Min Hyun's guys who had just come into the room waved the phone up in his hand. Min Hyun asked him to throw the phone towards him and, once he caught it like a skillful baseball player, he checked the name of the caller and sighed in obvious disappointment.

"Father?"

"I need you to make a delivery to Mr. Choi, come to the address I sent you in about 90 minutes."

The guy checked the giant clock on the wall that was showing 9 PM and smiled.

"Standard delivery? Do I have to expect any complications?"

The voice on the other line let out a tired exhale and continued after a few moments of silence,

"Just do your job and don't cause me any trouble."

"Alright."

Mr. Yang hung up first. Min Hyun nodded at Ji Seon who has been looking at him with curious eyes during the entire conversation, and the two of them headed for the exit. Ji Seon strode after his boss rather happily and asked in a somewhat overjoyed voice,

"So, what's the job? Another delivery today?"

Min Hyun forwarded the message he received from his father to the guy's phone and explained,

"Yeah, it's Mr. Choi again."

"Oh, I see. Ok, let's just finish it quickly then, I, too, don't really want to face him again."

There were many reasons why neither he nor Lee Min Hyun was happy to see the infamous Mr. Choi. Choi Il Jae was a well-known prosecutor who was famous for his tenacity but also his personal connections with many rich and powerful people, one of them being Yang Hyun Woo, Min Hyun's father and the head of the Yang Corporation. The public knew Mr. Choi as a corrupt prosecutor who played along with whoever paid him more and was able to even influence the judges, while those who knew him more intimately were also aware of his severe drug addiction which he was able to keep satisfied with the help of Mr. Yang in exchange for his cooperation when needed.

Prosecutor Choi was the one who helped Min Hyun with his case five years ago but he also enjoyed tormenting him by bringing it up every time they met.

"Are we all set?"

Min Hyun turned to Ji Seon and two other guys that followed him out from the storage room, and when all three of them nodded in unison, he gestured for them to leave, lit up a cigarette, and got into the black car that was already waiting for them outside the building.

The place they had to deliver the drugs was a private resort just outside Seoul secretly owned by Prosecutor Choi himself. It was labeled as a "resort" but in reality, it was a hostess bar that was working with (and covering up for) elite prostitutes. Many famous and powerful people were regulars in his "gentlemen's club" because thanks to the effort of both Mr. Choi and Mr. Yang, they would always get what they came for.

"Aaaand we're here."

Ji Seon parked the car at the back entrance and hurriedly got out to open the door for his boss. Lee Min Hyun brushed his hair back with an annoyed gesture, stepped out of the car, nodded as he passed the resort's security guard, and went inside through the tall metal door. The moment he went in, a strong poignant smell of cigars mixed with body odor hit his nose and made him wince in disgust. A slim middle-aged woman in a long blue dress recognized him and his men and lead them to the door at the end of a dark long hall, where his client was already waiting for him.

"Mr. Choi is inside, please come in."

She bowed her head politely, turned around, and left, while Min Hyun knocked on the thick oak door and let himself in.

The already-dark room which only had a few dimmed wall lamps as its source of light was drowned in grey cigar smoke. Loud, incomprehensible music was mixed with the drunk laughter of men and sweet but obviously fake female giggles. There were a total of six people in that dark, spacious room - three men, including Choi Il Jae, and three young women, hanging on their necks like living scarfs. Some were puffing on their cigars, and some were already shamelessly feeling each other up while sucking on each other's faces, Mr. Choi was downing a glass of golden-brown liquid when he finally noticed Min Hyun and his men standing in front of the door. The man slammed the glass on the table, spilling its contents all over it, melted into a wide, sickening smile, and waved his fat greasy hands at him like a monkey.

"Oh, the delivery man is finally here!"
