Damon said he would draw a bath and left the room, he headed to the bathroom, and only then I was able to breathe out, and sigh in relief.

But that relief did not last as long as I wished it would because he was back in the room again.

My gaze lifted to meet his after he freed my ankle from that chain, I glared at him with hatred in my eyes when he held out his hand, waiting for me to take it.

"Come," He said, his tone leaving no room for refusal.

For a moment, I hesitated, defiance flickering in my expression.

But he knew, as well as I did, that I didn't have a choice. Slowly, reluctantly, I took his hand, my grip icy and reluctant while he was warm and strong.

He led me to the bathroom, guiding me to the edge of the tub, deeply wishing he would just leave alone.

"Take your time," he murmured, his voice much softer now, "I will be just outside."
