Final Exam

Kong Li order all applicants to enter the wild forest. The entire applicant then entered the wild forest, after entering it. They only heard many sounds of insects and beasts.

All of the applicants were terrified since they knew that higher-level beasts were more active at night. All groups of applicants began to interact with one another.

One of the applicants, Xie wen, walked out of a group and yelled loudly, "Let's stay here till night passes, it will be dangerous for us to move at night."

The entire applicant turned their attention and began to discuss with their group. They only have five applications in each group, thus only one group can win all top five slots, avoiding any conflict and allowing them to aid each other. The entire group has finally decided to stay here. They have established a group that will stay as guards, while others will rest and guards will be exchanged on a routine basis until night passed.

Wang Lei felt that this applicant was too naïve if this topography was higher. they might get an advantage while staying here, but it was quite opposite this topography were low from sea level where any beast can ambush them easily evermore their huge number will attract the beast; they might not get any chance to escape if any beast appears.

He had already traversed this wild forest by himself, and he was well aware of the dangers that lurked around every corner. He is very sensitive to qi, thus he can easily detect anything near him, which is a huge advantage for him. He didn't say anything to the other applicants and began traveling alone.

"Stop! Where are you going?" one of the applicant guards said.

"To complete the final exam," Wang Lei responded.

"You are not permitted to go. All of the applicants have decided that they will compete against each other tomorrow."

"I don't belong to any group so, I can do anything" Wang Lei reply while narrowing his eyes.

Then the other guard who was nearby also arrived and stopped Wang Lei, after which they began to argue verbally.

"You're really brave to travel at night, my friend," Xie wen said with bright smile.

"It is none of your concern whether I travel at night or during the day."

Xie wen warned solemnly, "Don't be that overconfident; it might do you more harm than good."

Wang Lei didn't say anything and then turned to go. Xie Wen was irritated by Wang Lei's actions.

Xie wen understands that if Wang Lei leaves now, the group's balance would be disturbed and a dispute will erupt; they may even fight before reaching the hill.

"Xie wen, let me handle," Fang long stated, referring to the Xie wen group.

"My friend, I advise you to listen to us. There are about a hundred applicants, we might use some force" Fang Long said while showing his angry face.

Other applicants also support Xie wen while adding many word. Xie wen felt relieved that all of the applicants support his decision.

Wang Lei didn't want to fight with others since it would grab the attention of other people, causing him a lot of difficulties. He can only agree with Xie wen decision after much consideration.

Fang long assumed Wang Lei was afraid of them, so he added "We didn't trust you when you stated you were going to sneak. So I recommend tying him up until the night passes."

"Don't cross my bottom line," Wang Lei warned with cold voice.

Fang long was aware that all applicants were already in his support, so he didn't care about this unknown youth and stated, "I don't care your f**king bottom line," before Fang long could end his sentence. Wang Lei had already snatched Fang long neck from his grip and lifted him up. Fang long was suffocating and attempting to break away from the grip of the hand, but he failed. Wang Lei threw Fang long harder in the grounds which break his chest rib. His mouth was filled with blood.

All the applicants become silent now, they know now that Wang Lei is not a person they can control by pressuring.

A loud sound erupted from ahead, ringing in every applicant's ears, and their faces turned pale; even Fang long, who was on the ground, stood on his feet while enduring pain.

Wang Lei noticed a big centipede approaching their location.

"Run for your life if you want to survive," he warned other.

Every applicant came in their sense. They began to run in a different direction with their group. When a massive centipede came, it headed west, where more groups had fled.

Those who fled in another direction are aware that the group who fled to the west will never be seen again.

Wang Lei knows he can save some applications, but there are only five positions that will result in a bloodbath, therefore he planned to travel alone. He understands that there is no such thing as a hero or a villain in this world; it all depends on one's point of view.

He traveled this wild forest for many hours when he senses any beast. He changes his direction if the beast level was lower than him, then he killed it immediately and leaves so, that the beast which drives from the beast's blood will not cause any problem for him. Wang Lei can slice beast lower than his level with his dagger with a single hit which saves him a great amount of time.

After traveling all night, he eventually arrived at the bottom of the hill. He simply needs to go to the top of the hill to secure the top five positions.
