Chapter 6

  'How will i give the flower to her without scaring her??' he wondered to himself. He stood there with the flower in hand. Looking into her soft blue eyes. He knew that she was unaware of his presence and was too immersed in the peaceful scenery around him. He couldn't bring himself to speak.... he wanted her to realize who he was first...so that he could talk to her properly.  He couldn't help but notice her wings. They were really gorgeous. So beautiful that he didn't even know what to say at first. Then he spoke. "Hi." He softly whispered. At the sound of her voice, Elliana jumped, startled. He quickly tried to explain."Please don't be frightened! I am not here to harm you!"  He quickly knelt in front of her. "Please forgive me. I'm sorry I surprised you. Please let me explain." He spoke with a soft tonr of voice.  Elliana remained silent....still a little stunned at the suddenness of everything. She watched as the strange man knelt before her. She was completely mesmerized by this odd stranger. She has never seen anything like the stranger.  He reminded her more of a fairy tale than a human. He was so beautiful. Tall, slender and handsome.....he had longish blonde hair and hazel eyes. The stranger was wearing a simple black sweater and dark jeans. He also wore boots that reached to the middle of his thighs. Elliana had to look up to see his face. 'Wait.....is that the moon flower....?' She asked herself looking at the flower.  The stranger noticed Elliana staring at him and said. "My name is.....um..." He looked confused by his own question. He had forgotten his own name. Suddenly remembering he is name he blurred out "I'm...uhmm..my name is...Kevin'' '...i see you have a moon flower with you.....why?' she asked him looking at the flower. 'W-well...i want to get it for you....' he replied with a soft and nervous voice.  She was taken aback by that. She thought he was trying to get closer to her but....this man wanted to get closer to her.... She wasn't sure if she should accept the flower or not...she had no idea who Kevin is. '....why would you get this flower for me.....? Why did you went through all the trouble jusr for the flower....?' She asked him. '.....because i want to be your friend....' he told her in a soft voice.  She was completely shocked but also quite happy by his reply. 'A friend huh...' she thought to herself....her heart flutters at the thought of becoming friends with the stranger...but she didn't know if she should give Kevin her trust....'Should I trust this guy?' she wondered to herself. As she ponders the situation.... Kevin stood up from kneeling and offered her the moon flower.. she slowly took it from him. She was still a bit hesitant at the fact that this person wanted to be close to her. She hesitated for a moment then accepted him. He was happy as he was able to make her smile. 

'Thank you for trusting me..' he thought to himself.. 

Elliana looked at the moon flower. She thought about what he said earlier.  She smiled while walking back towards her house.....when Kevin suddenly spoke again. "Can i ask you a few questions?"  he quietly spoke. Elliana stopped and turned to look at him....."Sure..." she said smiling. Kevin gave her a small smile. Kevin took a deep breath and gathered up all the courage that he had to ask his first question. ''Are you the one that sings to all of us?'' He asked. Elliana smiled and answered. "Yes I am."

"Do you have a name?".  The stranger continued. "Well.... I guess you could call me Elliana."  She replied. She wanted to know what his name was too. 

"I'm Kevin."  He blurted out without hesitation. He hoped that she wouldn't catch onto his secret. "It's nice to meet you Kevin". She said smiling. "Likewise Elliana", Kevin replied.  They stood there in complete silence.....not knowing what to say. Kevin suddenly became aware of how quiet it was....it reminded him of a quiet evening after dinner when all of the family were sitting together. Silence was always uncomfortable for most people. Elliana decided that it would be best to break the silence.  "Hey Kevin.....could I ask a question"? Kevin nodded and answered her question. "Yeah of course you can." "Why did you come here today?" "Huh?" Kevin blurted out. He was caught off guard by her question.... he was not expecting her to ask.  After recovering from his shock he responded. "I um....i wanted to meet you from the moment i heard you sing in the night. I was curious who had such a beautiful voice every night.'' He said it all with a hint off passion.  Ellen blushed at his confession. Kevin thought that he probably made it awkward..... She said nothing though and simply smiled. They both stared into each other's eyes...both thinking the same thing.  Kevin was the first one to break the eye contact. "Um...I'll uh...see you tomorrow...."
