“I think we need to keep in touch. I hate to say this, but I have this horrible feeling something worse is in the horizon.”
Endymion shrugged. “You may be right. This isn’t the end yet. At least I don’t think so.”
After that, the four of them remained where they were. Neither of them knew what else to say. In the end, Endymion decided it was time to return home, so he bade farewell to the other three men before heading back to his car. As he drove back home, he squashed away the guilt inside him because there was a part of him that wished for the spirits to keep appearing. He knew such incidents would allow him the opportunities to hang out with both Darwin and Kellan, but he also felt horrible. He was aware how dangerous some spirits could be.
