The Monstrous King and his sweet Evil Queen

In the mysterious realm of Kalvon, where shadows whispered tales of Kings and Queens, none were as infamous as King Jetaime. Whispers echoed through the cobblestone corridors and darkened chambers of the palace, painting a macabre portrait of a heartless sovereign scarred by the cruelty of fate. His legs, so the tales spun, were lifeless appendages, and his face, a grotesque canvas of boils. His was a visage that struck terror into the hearts of those who dared imagine it. Yet, destiny took an unforeseen turn on the eve of a grand wedding night. Princess Jaelyn, cursed and hidden away within the confines of Malavon Castle, was the unwilling pawn in a malevolent game of power. Her name, synonymous with evil, and her every step marked by the devil's touch. However, as she stepped into the grand hall to meet her monstrous groom, a man emerged before her, shattering the grotesque image painted by gossip. King Jetaime stood not as the rumored monster, but as a vision of unexpected sweetness, love, and undeniable handsomeness. The discrepancy between the tales and the reality sparked a whispered question in the minds of those who witnessed this surreal union — had she unwittingly married an imposter, or were the rumors nothing more than twisted fragments of a darker imagination? As King Jetaime and Princess Jaelyn embarked on their tumultuous journey, the chessboard of power and revenge unfolded. Locked in a dance of secrets and hidden motives, the two found themselves entangled in a love that defied the expectations set by the world. The King, who had never allowed anyone close, now placed his heart willingly in her hands. Princess Jaelyn, driven by the flames of vengeance, found an unexpected ally in the man she was supposed to despise. Together, they navigated the treacherous waters of courtly politics, facing a power struggle fueled by conspiracies that threatened to tear them apart. In the battle between love and destiny, the question lingered like an ethereal mist — was their connection a mere human maneuver or a divinely fated love? As the story unfolded, the narrative wove a tapestry of twists and turns, challenging the very essence of their existence. Could love truly conquer all things, or were some cases destined to be eternally hopeless? Two empty hearts, two lives devoid of love, collided in a dance of darkness and light. A monster king and an evil queen united to become one, their journey unfurling like a forbidden scroll. The world watched with bated breath as the saga unfolded — a tale of love, betrayal, and the relentless pursuit of a destiny that defied the predetermined life. Cover by Java graphics.

"Niece"

Lyn shook her head decidedly. "No, I do not wish to be in the same space with you at the same time much less near you," King Jetaime stares at her as if her voice was music to his ears, it was to him, her cuss words only made him smile.

"You know what this means right? I want you to look flawless well you can choose not to come it is entirely up to you," Jetaime hissed as a dark stormy cloud instantly hovered beneath Lyn's eyes. Of course, it's not up to her, if she refuses to go not only will all the maids who attended to her be killed including Moesha and Madam Yina but their entire family will be dragged into it as well. Disobeying an order is equally treason.

Lyn gritted her teeth in annoyance. Jetaime smiles and whispered "See you soon," and winks at her. This made Lyn more irritated than she was before.

He knocks on the door while he waits for them to open the for him at the meantime he gawks at Lyn and smiles her annoyance was much better than her indifference. Feeling something is better than feeling nothing at all and that made him excited after a long while.

"My lady, are you really going to the king's bed chamber tonight?" Moesha asked immediately the King left the queen's chamber.

Lyn furrowed and says coldly as if she could have a say in the matter but doesn't. "Think of all the people that will be dragged into trouble if I refuse to go."

"For all the trouble and misery you have suffered for all these years you still worried about others?" Moesha grumbled.

Lyn grimaced sorrowfully and said, "Everyone could be killed Moesha maybe I will get the chance to strangle him in his sleep that way we can escape from here," she made a joke out of her predicament.

"Don't even joke about it, and my lady you could be in trouble if someone hears that. Everyone here is an enemy you can not trust anyone," Moesha said looking around to ensure no one heard the queen's silly remarks.

Jetaime tried to hide his excitement and couldn't wait to spend time with Lyn at night.

"You never read any of the letters I sent you?" A voice said startling the king. "It's you. Let's go to my office and speak softly the mission was clear wasn't it?" Jetaime says coldly as they walk to his study. Jetaime has been wrapped up in his own misery and forgotten all about the letters Byron had sent to him from Malavon through their secret spies.

"The mission was clear but I still wanted to keep you informed," Byron said, he got to spend quality time with his wife alone these few days but already missed being with the king.

"What did you find out?" Jetaime asked impatiently.

"Nothing as we had expected, King Acer had devoted his time to developing new technologies that will make the lives of his people easier," Byron mumbled as Jetaime sighed dejectedly.

"Good! Luckily he knows what's best for him."

Byron continued, "he wasn't doing anything suspicious but I found his actions suspicious,"

"What do you mean?" Jetaime inquires immediately. "He never asked of the queen not even once, he seems happy as if he didn't miss his precious daughter. I found that strange considering how much he loves and adores her daughter," Byron mumbled trying to think.

"I knew something was wrong," Jetaime jumps to conclusion.

"Maybe not, just as the queen has forgotten her roots perhaps the king was doing the same. One more thing, there was another princess in the palace. I overheard her calling him father but when I confronted him, he claim she is a niece of his."

"That reminds me they were making preparations to celebrate the queen's birthday well according to King Acer he was going to celebrate his daughter's birthday in the same way he did in the previous years except this time around his niece will take the princess place," Byron narrated everything he had gathered from his secret mission.

"The Queen's birthday?" Jetaime asked getting an idea.

"Yes, I learned she will turn 18 years in a few days," Byron whispered.

"She is not even 18 years yet," Jetaime smiled understanding some of the tantrums she threw in the past. "Why are you smiling?" Byron asked wondering what happened to him while he was away.

"Nothing, are you sure that niece of King Acer isn't his daughter?" Jetaime asked wiping the smile off his face.

"It can't be, King Acer only had one daughter and she is the queen. I even showed her portrait around and everyone confirmed she was the princess of the land. I couldn't see the princess's face because she was wearing a veil over her head. You think she is an illegitimate child of King Acer?" Byron responded.

"What if she is his daughter? Do you plan on marrying her as well? I thought you at least liked the Queen? Wanting to marry the Queen's sister or half-sister is not very manly." Byron has been away for a while and can't pinpoint what exactly the king was thinking. He was starting to get worried since he comes up with absurd thoughts for some time now.

"The original plan was to have the kingdom of Malavon, not the princess, and in as much as I'm fond of the Queen I still and will rule Malavon. It's our solution to a new era, the kind I want to create for our people by uniting the world with technology. If she is the king's direct bloodline it means the man she marries will have right over the throne. I can't let that happen. Leave it for now, but ask our spies to keep an eye on them. I want to know their every move." Jetaime said

"Sure, now will you tell me what happened in my absence?" Byron asked particularly if he wanted to know how things were developing between him and the queen but heard the opposite of what he was expecting to hear.

Jetaime narrated everything to him. "I left you for a few days and you created just a harbor. The court might be divided now. Thanks for the work your highness now I will have to fix this your mess," Byron said disappointedly.

"You had a good vacation now it's time to get back to work. How do you think I can make Lyn forgive me," Jetaime asked desperately.

Byron shook his head sternly, "You mess up big time and for that, you are on your own, I will handle the court you handle your marital life, was that not what you said? Anyways your Highness you need to hurry, and make babies. This is the best strategy to secure the queen's position and also put the rumors in the court to rest about you taking on other concubines," Byron mumbled. 'one more thing it will make my work a lot easier,' he thought without saying it out loud

"Are you threatening me, your king?"

Byron waved his hand frantically, "Oh no, I wouldn't dare do such a thing! But I wish you luck calming the queen. If there is nothing else, your Highness, I will take my leave, " he said running from there.

Jetaime knew he had to do something to soothe the queen back then, his father used to calm her mother when she was upset but he was too young to understand what his father was doing.

Frankly thinking of his parent at this moment, he was slightly sad.
