Chapter 2: The big ass puppy and wizardy magic

I woke up to veronica singing, the melody was beautiful, when I reached the bottom of the stairs I just sat and watched taken aback by her. She seemed to be just finishing. "life will be beautiful, while I am with you …" she turned around and looked right at me blinked, held up a tray and a cookbook "I made cookies" I stare at the tray

"are you wanting to trade them for blood?" my eyebrow raised unsure of why she is doing this, she could just ask me

"if your offering" I hold my arm out and she is next to me in less than a second, I really should get used to that, she drinks from me. Now contemplating how are relationship is now and how much of that she meant from last night, I mean we just met. A thought comes to me, its Sunday my family is coming home shit. "veronica, my parents will be home soon. I think I should hide you" I am honestly terrified at her meeting my family and shit what do I do about my puper no dog is that big

"why, do you think your parents won't like me? I know you seem quite rich and thus impressionable but I'm sure I'll make a good wife"

"what are you even talking about I'm poor and you're not even my girlfriend yet, just help me out here ok"

"ok sure, how do you want to do this … I could use illusion magic on the dog so he looks normal and I could just tell your family I'm your girlfriend so I could stay in your room and I get snacks whenever" she had a dreamy look in her eye after she said the last part.

"good plan but I'm not sure my mum will allow that"

"but you're an adult now, aren't you?" she looked me up and down before nodding her head thinking that she was right in her conclusion.

"yes, but it's still my mums house so it's her rules" I look at her like she should know this, I am such an idiot she was asleep for god knows how long

"I guess that makes some sense" she looks at me likes she wants to ask a question but does not. I hear keys as hunter runs down the stairs, a wave of veronicas hand and he slowly transforms into an actual wolf pup finishing the transformation when he gets to me, I pick him up and stroke him slowly to calm him down then pass him to veronica. The door opens.
