Sam's Martial Secrets!

Sam sat on a stone table in his yard, in a calm, hidden area in the back mountains. He meditated in peace as spinning autumn leaves fell around and on his shoulders. 

Sam had gotten out of bed before sunrise on the beautifully quiet autumn morning to take in the fresh mountain air and prepare his mind for the day ahead.

Sam had placed the 'Body Tearing Bone Shattering Fist' jade slip on the stone table. 

This was an incomplete Earth-step martial skill. Even if Sam had the 'Infinite Chaos Battle Forms' as a reference to help guide him, he still needed an extremely high level of perception to fuse the two.

Perception had nothing to do with one's martial talent, but it did touch on one's soul talent a bit. 

Sam's soul talent was primarily fourth-grade. 

Martial artists' soul talents were generally low; Sam's soul talent could be considered top-tier in the Starlight Haven Kingdom and was equal to superior fourth-grade talent in cultivation.
