Jordan POV: "Amma, did you hear that? It's... it's like Gina's voice," I exclaimed, feeling bewildered.
"You're right, it seems like she's in danger," Amma replied.
"Yes, Amma, we have to go save her right now," I said with determination as we both hurried towards the direction of the hut.
On our way, we spotted two demons searching for us. We quickly hid in a tree, but unfortunately, the demons caught our scent and found us. Amma fearlessly fought and defeated them, allowing us to continue our journey to the hut.
Finally, we arrived at the hut and found Gina tied up, tears streaming down her face.
"Amma, what do we do now?" I asked, feeling a mix of fear and urgency.
"We have to figure out a way, Jordan. We can't just enter without a plan," Amma replied, her voice filled with caution.
"You're right, Amma, but what should we do?" I asked again, desperate for guidance.
Suddenly, the old woman started sniffing, her nose twitching. "I can smell the marked one. He's close, very close," she said ominously.
"Show yourself, Jordan. You can't hide from us. Promise not to hurt Gina, and I'll let her go," Logan insisted, his voice filled with a chilling determination.
"Okay, but promise you'll release Gina and Amma. I'm the one you want," I included, trying to negotiate.
"I will, but we'll make a trade. The mark for Gina," Logan said, his voice cold and calculating.
"Alright, but you have to let Gina and Amma go. It's me you're after," I pleaded.
"Yes, just come out," Logan insisted, his tone unwavering.
"No, Jordan, don't..." Gina tried to warn, but Logan silenced her with a forceful blow to the back of her head, ordering one of the demons to gag her.
"So, are you ready for a trade, Jordan? The mark for Gina?" Logan asked, his voice filled with anticipation.
I couldn't bear to see Gina in pain, so I reluctantly agreed. "Yes, I'm ready," I replied, my voice tinged with apprehension.
"No, Jordan, if they remove that mark from you, you'll die," Amma disagreed, her worry evident in her voice. But I had to do it to keep Gina safe.
"It's okay, Amma. Promise to take care of Gina for me," I asked Amma, trying to reassure her.
"No, I want you to take care of us, Jordan. Please don't do this, please, Jordan. I don't want to lose you," Amma pleaded, tears streaming down her face.
"I love you, Amma," I said, my voice filled with emotion, as I walked out from where I was hiding.
"Now, release her, and I'm all yours," I insisted, determined to fulfill my end of the trade.
"Okay," Logan agreed, his voice filled with resignation, as he freed Gina. With tears streaming down our faces, Gina slowly walked towards me, and I walked towards her, embracing her tightly.
"It's over now, Gina. I promise you," I whispered, my voice choked with emotion, as we held each other.
Meanwhile, Gina finally reached Amma, and I reached Logan. "Let the extraction of the mark begin," Logan uttered, his voice filled with determination.
"No, we should take him to Lord Mangok instead," the old lady, now transformed into a young lady, insisted.
"No, Lord Mangok doesn't want to see the boy with his eyes. He wants us to extract the mark and bring it to him," Logan explained, his voice filled with authority. He then ordered his demon creatures to carry me to the extraction room.
To my greatest surprise, the hut was bigger on the inside and smaller on the outside. They took me into the extraction room, which turned out to be a grand hall within the small hut. Magic truly made anything possible.
Inside the hall, I found Amma and Gina tied up. "What has gotten into you, Logan? Why are you doing all this?" Amma cried out, her voice filled with anguish.
Logan remained silent, his expression unreadable.
"Remember, Logan, you're an elf. We don't betray our kind. Please, don't do this," Amma pleaded, her voice filled with desperation.
"You fool! Do you think I'll stick with the elves forever? I've found power, Amma, and nothing can stop me from achieving my goal," Logan retorted, his voice dripping with arrogance.
"Logan, please! You don't have to do this. You can still turn back now while you have the chance," Amma insisted, her voice trembling with hope.
"Hahaha... Or what, Amma? What are you going to do, huh? Nothing, I guess. Now, put her inside the grinder and feed her meat to the rest of the demons," Logan insisted, his voice cold and merciless.
Logan's demon creatures grabbed Amma and dragged her towards a giant engine. Amma cried bitterly and pleaded, "Jordan, please don't let them do this. Jordan, please help me, please!"
"Jordan, please! You've got to help her, please, Jordan! Amma needs your help," Gina pleaded, her voice filled with desperation.
I couldn't bear to see their tears again. It was as if something took over me, and I could feel their pain and fears. The chains that bound me were effortlessly broken, and I walked towards the two demons dragging Amma. My rage and anger overwhelmed them, forcing them to enter the giant engine themselves.
Now, I turned my attention to the woman and Logan. The woman threw her whip at me, but I swiftly grabbed it and pulled her towards me with little effort. However, she came at me with incredible speed. In a moment of instinct, I punched a hole through her stomach, and she screamed as she turned into dust.
"You fool, I knew this would happen. You think you have powers? You don't. This is what I call true power," Logan sneered as he transformed into a beast with four hands and a magical barrier surrounding him.
He launched a powerful blast of magic towards me, but I managed to dodge it, fueled by my anger. Seeing my fury, he quickly grabbed Gina and fled into the woods outside the hut. I chased after him, but he was too fast for me to keep up with.
But I couldn't give up on Gina. I searched desperately through the woods, calling out her name, but there was no response. I cried out in anguish, feeling like time was slipping away. Night fell, and my powers faded as I collapsed to the ground, feeling completely defeated.
I couldn't believe I let him take Gina. I couldn't forgive myself if anything happened to her. The fear of losing her was unbearable. Determined, I forced myself to get up and continue searching through the dark woods. My steps were unsteady, but I saw a glimmer of light in the distance. "Finally," I whispered to myself, falling to the ground and closing my eyes, hoping for a better tomorrow.
