He's not a doctor nor a caregiver

It's not hard to tell that Dr. Simon Mallady already figured out that I have no memory of my past. After asking me three questions which I honestly answered, he stopped and stared at me for a couple of seconds.

I can't remember my parents, address and life's history.

"Well, at least you remember your name. Your memory will return so do not worry too much."he said. "It's Penelope Rose Braxton, by the way."

As if the surname can pacify my freaking mind. I have so many worries in my head right now.

Where on Earth I would go after here?

"I will leave you to rest." The doctor took his things and put them inside his bag.

"Thank you, doc." He just nods and walks towards the door but stopped when he remembered something. "By the way, you will be trasferred into a private ward this afternoon. Mr. Jones will be around at six tonight and hopes to see you awake."

Oh! Mr. Jones, my straightforward companion every night is coming back from his trip!

"Is Mr. Jones a doctor or my caregiver?" I expected the doctor to confirm my guess but he smiled and shook his head no.

"My relative?"

"Not your relative too. I'm not telling you so ask him tonight." Then he left just like that.

If he's not my relative, not my caregiver or my doctor then what's his connection with me? Maybe he's the person who brought me into this hospital and had been checking up on me regularly.

I hope he could tell me what exactly happened to me. Who's with me before I was brought here?

Questions about myself are pressing inside my head and the fact that I can't answer them upsets me.

The only consolation I have right now is that Mr. Jones is arriving tonight. His presence means a lot to me.
