Vacation to plan

"Did you see the look on Elle's face? She looked like shit was thrown on her face." Hazel said as she burst into laughter all alone which was awkward since Summer was meant to be laughing along with her.

"What is wrong?" Hazel asked seating beside Summer who was sipping lemonade.

"What if I fail? What if I fail my mom? Is this what she wants for me?" Summer asked as she turned to look at Hazel.

"You won't fail, I know that. You are a badass and I know you do well in the position of our next Don." Hazel told her as she cupped her face in her palms.

"You are going to be the first female to rule out family and I know that you would pull it off well." Hazel added.

"What if my biggest fear hunts me? Will I be able to handle that position?" Summer asked, looking so worried.

Yes, Summer has a bold face whenever she was outside or in the midst of a group of people but she has her own fears.

Her father had once told her that her mother wanted her to have nothing to do with the underworld.

Her mother wanted her to live her life as a normal teenager and have nothing to do in the family's business.

But then the cold hands of death took her mother away and there was no other way for her to revenge accept to soil her hands in dirty stuffs.

Things her mother hated. Would her mother be proud of her?

Summer did not know what to do anymore. At first she was sure if everything but when she thinks about it thoroughly, she would feel like something is missing. Something is going wrong, she could feel it.

"You know that your mother hated the underworld yet married your father. I know that she would understand that the reason you chose to become like this was to venge for her death and no matter what, your mother would keep on loving you." Hazel said as she hugged Summer.

"Thank you." Summer whispered into Hazel's ear.

"Perfect!" Someone muttered and the two broke away from their hug immediately.

Who the hell was that?!

"I got the perfect picture of two of you." Caroline said as she turned her phone for the two to see.

"Mom?!"

"Aunt?!"

"How did you get in?" Hazel asked.

"Oh come on, I am family." Caroline replied as she left the girl's room for the sitting room.

"So mom, what brings you here?" Hazel asked after her mom had settled down on the sofa.

"Summer." She replied.

"Me?!"

"Yes. I really have to give it to you that you are just like uncle Daniel." Caroline said but there was sarcasm in her tone.

"What now aunt?" Summer asked tiredly.

"You know Summer, I am sure your mother would never approve of your attitude lately and my cousin, David is doing nothing about it." Caroline complained.

"Aunt, what do you expect me to do? See down and watch them insult me?" Summer asked.

"I never said that but then you don't know your elders anymore. No matter what, you aren't meant to speak to your elders anymore. That is disrespectful." Caroline said.

"Elders that will never grow up." Summer sassed.

"Imagine Hazel has a child and she insults you, how would you feel?" Caroline asked.

"See aunt, that is not the matter here. When one respects himself, then others would respect him. For instance, uncle Samuel and Moses who had been quiet and respected themselves were not insulted by me." Summer made known to Caroline.

"What I am trying to say is to ignore them, just stop replying them back." Caroline gave up on Summer.

The girl was as stubborn as her grandfather.

"So that is why you visited mom?" Hazel asked, finding it funny.

"Yes."

"You know that you are quite dramatic mom." Hazel said as she chuckled silently.

"I would be taking my leave now, remember to be good girls okay?" Caroline said.

"Whatever mom."

"We would try." Both girls said simultaneously as they watched Caroline leave.

"Okay baby girl. We have a vacation to plan." Hazel screamed.

"Vacation?" Summer seemed confused.

"Yes, your six months off. Please don't tell me, you are not going anywhere." Hazel pleaded.

"Whatever." Summer rolled her eyes as she followed her cousin in.

"This vacation is going to be fantastic!!!!" Hazel yelled.

"Ugh!" Summer rolled her eyes. Her cousin would definitely be the end of her.

"Don't tell me that you aren't going to have fun for the next six months. Come on girl, we have the whole wide world to explore, and it's time you also get laid." Hazel said cockily.

"Oh please spare me that rubbish." Summer snorted as she laid down on the bed in their room.

And yes, despite the fact that there were numerous rooms in their mansion, Summer chose to share a room with her cousin because of her nightmares and trauma and not just that, it was fun when they were together rather than when they had separate rooms.

"Trust me Summer, it's high time things changed." Hazel told her with a sly smile on her face.

"Whatever Hazel, do whatever you want but don't set me up." Summer warned but she knew her cousin wasn't the one to back off by a mere warning. She just hopes she listens to her.

"Thanks baby. I promise you that this will be the best phase of your life." Hazel screamed as she tackled Summer on the bed in a bone crushing hug.

"Hazel get off me, I am sincerely tired." Summer told Hazel as she pulled away from the hug.

"I have a vacation to plan." Hazel told her before she left the room.

Summer just hopes that Hazel doesn't do anything stupid.
