Chapter Ninety-eight

So that was it, Jay thought realizing why she had acted up. It had been no one but she herself had seen them. How could he explain the details to her, how could he tell her that whatever it was she had seen, she had seen wrongly. That bitch had finally put him in trouble with his peace and he swore to deal her a heavy slap should she ruin his relationship with Bella. Sincerely, he loved Bella and was not planning on loosing her anytime soon, what was he going to do now to pacify her and explain the truth. Wait a minute, what truth, that he had slept with Stella, hell no, that was going to complicate things for them. He needed to calm her down first and he needed to do so immediately. "Wait, Bella!!! ", he called after her as she stepped out but she was not planning on giving him her ears. He had fucked up, but he was going to make this right, he chased after her. Just as he reeled around, he stopped suddenly seeing her crying and hugging her stepbrother whom gave him the chills, whenever their eyes met. He stood for a while before approaching them, Mikey shielded her head protectively, "Stay away from my sister ", he yelled taking a step backwards, Jay was at loss. What was he going to do, "Listen, I have to sort out something with her, I promise I would not hurt her ", he said trying to bring himself down. He could not loose her but Mikey was not going to bulge, he still shielded her, cradling her head as she wept, "Haven't you done enough already", he asked Jay who looked defeated, "Listen Bella, you know I love you right? ", and I would give the world for you ", he said trying to get her attention but she was not listening, instead she held on to her stepbrother. It hurt him, seeing her like that, it also her him, seeing her holding another man like her like depended on it. He cared less whether or not it was her brother, he should be the one she should be holding that way. He should be a shoulder for her to lean on not a reason to cry. 

He needed to clear this tense atmosphere between them, Bella was getting it all wrong. He tried approaching again but her stern stepbrother would not let him through, "I think you've done my sister enough harm sir ", he said those words that nearly pierced his soul. Harm, he had never dreamed of harming Bella, he made a mistake quite alright, everyone else does. Why would his own be different. She had see everything wrongly and got the wrong idea about it, he needed to at least clarify himself and if she was going to hold onto the grudge, then so be it but he was no pushover. "I would never hurt Bella ", he said calmly hoping that they could see through his soul that he was being sincere. "Up until when were you going to keep me around while you worked your comeback with your ex-wife Jay, up until when we're you going to keep me a fool? ", she suddenly turned and asked. Her eyes looked teary and he could not bear it, "There is no comeback Bella. That's what I need to explain to you calmly but you're not giving me the chance to do so. Just hear me out and if you still do not believe me, I could take you to her", he said. "Nobody is taking anybody anywhere Mr Martins ", Anthony said suddenly coming into the scene, were they all nuts, can't they see he was being truthful. He was trying his best not to loose it, "You owe Bella more than an explanation ", he continued and Jay had to ask him what he meant when Mikey brought out his phone, pressing it so hastily, "Try explaining this then or do you need more? ",he said showing Jay a picture on his phone. It was of he a Stella at the restaurant, he could not believe his eyes. Someone was obviously playing a fast one on him. Bella curious as always took a look, "I'm sorry sister, I should have done this a long time ago ",Mikey said and she turned to Jay. She looked so torn apart by the events, "I don't want to ever see you again ", she said and ran away.
