Chapter Forty-seven

"What is this? ", Bella asked alarmed, the bandages were clean still which meant they were newly changed and that meant that the wound was fresh. "Oh it's nothing ", he said and tried to kiss her again, "Nothing, you call this nothing? ", she said pointing at the wound, "Oh darling it's just a scratch ", he said trying still to steer the discussion but she was not having it. Typical Bella, always determined. "Tell me Jay, is this related to what happened that night? ", she persisted, "What happened which night ", he said hoping that probably it would deter her but not Bella, she would always push until she got an answer. "That night when you.... when you and Pablo.. ", she was searching for the right words to describe that night and he wanted nothing but peace. "Oh I get it, the night I stabbed Pablo for touching you, of course not baby, it's not related to that in anyway ", he lied. "You sure? ", she asked searching his face for any form of lies but damn, he had his poker face so she let it slide. He kissed and cuddled her that night as the earlier mood had been dampened. They went to bed in each other arms and she did her best not to touch his injury. 

The next morning, Bella woke up, he was sitting by her bedside, already freshened up. "Come down for breakfast baby girl ", he said and kissed her. Oh, she sure could get used to this and with that, she prepared. School was going to be fun and she knew it. As soon as she was finished, she headed downstairs for breakfast, she had her appetite back. "Am I missing something or does it seem you made friends with the maids? ", he asked her over the table and she chuckled, "None ya ", she said softly. "What was that? ", he asked jokingly, "None of your business Mr Jay ", she said and was done with breakfast. She happily and shyly went down. The car was ready but then, what the fuck, there was someone else there. Where was Jake she wondered. Hearing his familiar footsteps approaching she turned around to face Jay with a questionable expression, "Oh I forgot to tell you Bella, Mr Jake has been relieved of his duties for negligence ", he said. No one was allowed to toy with his prized possession. Jake knew the rules, he broke it so this was simply karma acting out. "Because he obeyed my orders to let me see my brother, you're impossible Jay. But you listen to me, I'm not going anywhere unless Jake is back ", she said breaking into tears. She ran past him, at the door, she turned to scream at him, "How could you be so impossible ", and she was gone. He had not expected that outburst from her, he was only protecting her interest. Why could she not see that, what if something had gone wrong when he took the detour, would she be here making a fuss. Oh, he hated women with drama."Take the car back, seems like Bella doesn't want to go to school ", he said to the new driver. The confused young man gave a light bow and went to do as he was ordered. Jay had a lot of talking out to do with the crazy woman. Getting to her room, he turned the knob and discovered it was locked, how pathetic, ever so predictable Bella making a mountain of an anthill. "Open the door Bella, I need to talk to you ", he said knocking at the door. She did not answer, he could hear her sobbing. Wait a second, all this tantrums for a common driver. If Jake was not very old, he just might have thought otherwise. He knocked again and she yelled admist sobs, "Go away ". He felt bad about leaving her in this state, was she being real? Crying over a driver. He was definitely missing something.
