Antonov and Matteo quickly averted their gazes, their faces becoming a mask of impassiveness.
Standing up straighter, he didn't turn around, refusing to look at Natasha. He took a deep breath and walked toward the door. Matteo followed him outside and the door closed behind them.
"Keep her here and keep questioning her. She will eventually break down."
"Yes, Lorenzo," he said.
He took a step forward, but then stopped. Turning around, she faced him and growled in a deadly tone.
"No one lays a hand on her. If anyone is going to hurt her, it has to be me."
If anyone dared to go against his order, then they would die. Matteo seemed surprised but then nodded.
His order took him by surprise too. He didn't know where it came from, but all he knew was that he didn't want anyone touching her. That admission shocked him too.
